Subject: Stadiums

Is there a rule of thumb when you should expand your stadium and by how much? I still have my 3100 original capacity, and I have about 525 club members. I also only have only $250k in the bank, is that enough to make an expansion worthwhile and still leave me some cash?

Expand it when you start to fill it, and i'd build seats along a sideline (NOT behind the goal with seats). Test how much it will cost with the stadium expansion page, just don't accept their estimate :)

No, the $$ estimate is right on, the time estimate can be 1-2 (normally 1) off either way...

I was saying if he's TESTING the cost not to accept till he decides what he wants :)

Thanks. I have come close to a sellout but not one yet. If I win my qualifier and get promoted, will there be an increase at the higher league level?

So seats, not benches?? And what is a good # to expand by for it to make sense?

I usually wait until I have sold out my stadium 2 or 3 times. Then I look to add 3 to 5 thousand seats so I wont have to upgrade again for a while. Of course it all depends on how much money you have to blow. Preferably I would want to do more than 3 to 5 at a time, but it cost so much.

Seats are best for the sidelines. Use benches behind the goals and in the corners. Each combo of seat type/location earns a certain ticket price. Seats on the sideline make more money than benches on the sideline, so it makes more sense to have them there. BUT behind the goal, the money for a bench ticket and the money for a seat ticket are equal. So there is no benefit to go with seats there.

Also, it is pretty much a waste of money to buy a roof. And if you do buy a roof, keep in mind that you have to tear it down before you upgrade that section. So only build a roof when you are pretty much satisfied with that section and dont want to EVER change it again.

Billy, this is not true. The roof will just expand when you add to that section.

so ky you're saying you disagree and suggest 4000 seat increments?

I actually prefer 5000 bench increments for behind the goal.
