An example - during last few years, there were times where Barcelona was winning but quality of game was not good so despite of good results there was still criticism and calls for improvement. I believe this is the right way - always improve

Another example I find it interesting that player like https://sokker.org/player/PID/39818570 makes it to U21 while way stronger player gets dropped (i.e. Shultis)

Hi, Tad.

Players who came up through the youth academy like Lawrence Ambersley, Walter Bowden, and Tyler Silverstein have been very helpful to me.

Soon, Wilbur Leitch, who came up through your youth academy, will be on the USAU21 team.

It's okay to criticize my player selections, but I'm being honest. I didn't intentionally leave your players off the team.

I update the USAU21 roster weekly.

You're a great coach who develops young players. Please turn on the American player attributes again.

Thank you.

I also read everything you write and take criticism into consideration.

I can’t see the relevant skills of the players but your player certainly has better value.

In the end, selection is up to the coach — and supporting the coach is up to the users. Everyone has their own philosophy, and that’s fine.

Personally, I’ve decided not to support a coach who consistently calls up 190k-value players while leaving out 600k-value ones. Many of the players called up don’t end up playing in matches anyway, which is understandable — but in my view, the roster selection could be optimized much better.

World Cup qualifying is suspended this week.

I've scheduled a friendly against the powerful Netherlands because the final match against France in our group will be crucial. That's why I chose a strong team like France.

The Netherlands' coach is quite good. And they're a very dangerous team.

Last week, we had players in top form. This week, our defensive players, in particular, are in poor form. Our goalkeeper, forward, and midfielders are all very good. Any outcome can be expected from this match.

39818570 353k

Red Shultis 656k

That's Tad's mistake. He thinks the player with the higher market value is better. But that's not always the case.

I haven't shared any of this because American coaches warned me not to share information about national team players, but player 39818570 is better than Red Shultis and, at 20, will be a future midfielder for the US National Team.

Different managers value different set of skills.

Some skills at higher level (speed) increase value disproportionately over other skills. So You can have a very quick player with low secondaries that will have a higher value over a player that is more well rounded and might have even higher sum skill.

So looking at value alone without knowing actual skills is not an accurate way to assess whatever player is “better”.

Feel free to post your players skills then mustafaatik can give us all a glimpse of his tactical mindset and explain everyone including You why he does not prefer using Your player and what to do to avoid this kind of situation in the future and give your players best odds of playing in NT.

Im aware that some skills have different valuation and can affect value in different way and that value is not everything.

Even with that a player valued 160k with form of 6 can't be better. This is my opinion and this is just 1 example.
In either way there is no other way to resolve it than showing player skills which should not be done so ill leave it at that.

That plus the fact that Mustafa missed players in past (Hodge) and only called them up after long lobbying. Also, I only criticized Mustafa very few times. The first time I did, he dropped a player and then said it was mistake and called him back again. This time I criticized him second time and guess what, my player was dropped again. Other times my player was not dropped.

I dont plan on replying about this topic anymore. I shared my views.

Whatever the reason is, it seems me and Mustafa value players differently so as a user I decided to not support a coach I disagree with in terms of roster. I think i have the right to do so.

USA U21 - Nederland U21 0:0

We played a solid game against the Netherlands. A draw was a fair result.

Regardless of the score, we played with different tactics in the first and second halves. We were dominant in the first half, but the Netherlands put the pressure on in the second. Of course, their second-half tactics were also effective.

Couple of thoughts from experience.

- form also plays a meaningful value into value, although form can be seen on everyone and mentally factored in.

- The big thing is I find it very odd that our U21 team would meaningfully change population week by week at all. I don't understand why anyone would do this. We aren't limited on players to add - this is a self-inflicted wound. Not only can you add a few more players to the team, but additionally, you have a separate 'watch list' where you can put players you deem 'potentially' good enough to play in the future (not the current year, I'm speaking about players who are 18, 19). Players shouldn't be missed at all. There are resources to find these players. Each offseason I would go through the top 30 or so players

- Musta (I think) initially said Hodge wasn't missed, rather he didn't like the build I did with him. To his credit he both gave him a trial, and ultimately admitted he was incorrect, and Hodge went on to score 20 goals for the U21 team. He would have been within his right to stick to his view, but he did not. This is what you want to see, he couldn't have handled that situation any more respectfully.

I heard form 0 is basically -2 from skills but can't find it on wiki

also glad about Hodge but that was exception:)

I mean if I could afford Tyler I would buy him.... but alas, he'll go closer to 10 million. Which is about what I spent on my entire rebuild
2025-11-09 02:36:42
yea Tyler is great
2025-11-10 21:22:06
I negotiated with him for a while... Evolution said he'd post Teddy for 7mil.

I've got the money, just dunno if I'll see any profit from it.
