Subject: Juniors

I have a jr coach... my school is open for 10 ppl.. WHERE ARE THEY ?!

Every Saturday if you had a junior slot open you POSSIBLY will get some juniors. I believe I have always at least gained one.

Did you have your slots open yesterday before the update occurred late last night?

Uhhh, yeh, i made 10 slots when i started Sokker.

The max open slots you want is 6. You will never gain more than 6 in a week.

Regarding you not gaining Youths. The only thing that stands out is you are a new team and joined after the econ updates last weekend. Could be your team has to go through one econ before Youths start joining.

Just a thought and not sure that is actually the reason why.

Also, you'll always get help on the board, but we have a mentor program for new teams that can help you team a lot.

That is indeed the thread that talks abotu the mentor program. The forum Mentors USA is really just for the mentors to communicate with eachother. I'll get you a mentor.

just out of curiosity what is the minimum junior skill that you guys keep initially.

i reject everything that comes in below average. is that good or bad?

BAD. If you get a weak 32 weeks out, he could be incredible when he "graduates." The better way (IMO) is figure 5 weeks/pop (assuming you have a stud YS coach) to figure out whether the player will be high-solid or VG when he comes out. If the answer is "yes," keep him. If the answer is clearly "no," dump him. If the answer is "maybe," I usually hold them a week or so to see if they pop. If the answer still stays maybe after the first pop, I wait a few more weeks to see if they are talented or not.

ok that's what i was thinking. I've been noticing that my junior school has been shrinking with my recent pulls and lack of "decent" juniors coming in.

Sokker Manager has a default talent field that is used on the juniors screen to default talent and predict pull level.

Basically if 2 or more pops have happened, it uses the average of pops 2+ for that...

If 0-1 pop has happened it uses the default talent level unless that is lower than the weeks taken to pop so far (ie if the first pop happened in 6 weeks and the second hasn't happened yet after 10 weeks, the system "knows" that the talent is at best 10 weeks, and would ignore if you used default talent of 5 as this is inaccurate)....

So either use sokker manager or a method like that of predicting pops.
