SLAMBOT [del] to All
2-0 victory. Good match to watch, finally a friendly to try something new out. I used an interesting new tactic that worked out pretty well. I probably wont play lochrie on the wing anymore though

Why not Lochrie. He was open quite a few times, but I'm sure that was due to tactics.

However, he did feed a couple nice passes in that were hit right at the keeper by Burciaga, IIRC.

Yes he was open because of my tactic. He had some good crosses but also some horrible ones (especially against lietuva) because his passing isnt that great. Poor crosses due to lack of passing is why he may be replaced on the wing soon, especially because thats how I'm running our offence.

Didn't mean to sound like I was questioning the decision. Just curious why you are thinking that way.

I understand, especially if a better passing Winger is available.

Also, considering the competition (America Jr) today, he could be falsely inflated in his performance. :)

that second goal was amazing.

Yes, Pickens is the forward of the future for the US, but hes in a bit of a form slump right now so I'm not gonna start him yet.

I would rather goal be scored first time off the cross like it is supposed to haha. Today either our crosses were garbage or the finish wasnt there. A little improvement from the players combined with a little better luck will put us ahead in many games to come.

Thanks for the match guys. :) I was pleased our B-squad kept the score down. Hope those cards don't come back to haunt you.

Best of luck with your game this week.

too many eggs in the Stokes-basket makes for a rancid omelette.

I agree jonandabby. You can tell my team was lost without him after he went down. We had 3 goals in the 35 minutes with Stokes....the final 55 minutes, I doubt I even had 3 shots :)

Go ahead and mark an L beside my team for the next 3-4 weeks.

My suggestion - sell Stokes for $5m to some Polish team and use the $$.
2006-08-28 21:29:06
he'd get more than that.

But i for one really respect the teams who train players for our national team's good. Bogan too. Way to go guys, i love when the USA does well on the national stage dispite our small userbase representation.

I'll sell Stokes if somebody will sell me Claudio Pickens.

I am trying my damndest to hold on to Claudio.
