Subject: [NT] releme

releme to All
Thanks to Adivip, he is clearly an active and hard-working user, but unfortunately after 5 seasons, he still hasn't managed to qualify the USA for the world cup. I think it's a good time for Adivip to try new things and one day return stronger to the USA, just as it's time for the USA to try something different.

What is my plan for the USA, to achieve qualification?

>> I have a lot of experience as a Portugal coach, where I got good results against great teams, for example:

For me, Portugal and the USA have approximately the same number of users, and therefore the same capacity to generate players. But while the USA is 49th in the ranking, Portugal is 32nd. This to me doesn't make sense. I'm 100% sure that I can place the USA with a much better ranking (similar to Portugal), as both teams have the same value... and so if I can do it in Portugal, I can also definitely do it in the USA. By achieving this, the USA can get a much easier qualifying group, and go to the World Cup. I know that this season's group was difficult, but it was only difficult because there was no ranking improvement previously, and that was the mistake.

>> Regarding team renewal, I have a database of USA players, and experience in renewing national teams. So I know I will do a good job in that aspect as well.

>> In terms of game strategy, I think the 2 games I presented above show my ability.

These are the 3 topics of my candidacy for USA coach. Thank you for your attention.

I'm seeing a lot of activity among Poles in the elections, but no comments from Americans.

Americans, come to the forum and give your comments! The USA is yours, show it!

I checked your results with the Portuguese seniors and you never advanced to the World Championships, you were third twice, but your successor from Poland advanced from first place:

So you have nothing to be proud of

With me, Portugal had great opponents in the group, as Brasil and Slovensko. With me, Portugal finished with the same number of points as Brazil, but with a worse goal difference. Brazil of Pot 1!

I had a great contribution to Portugal reaching Pot 2. I took over Portugal, when Portugal was in 41st place in the ranking.

If Portugal qualified for the World Cup this season, it was because Portugal was in Pot 2 and the group was consequently weak.

And that's exactly what I want to do in the USA. Exactly the same thing, and that led to Portugal's success this season. I'm going to put the USA in Pot 2, to then have a weak group, and qualify for the World Cup.

Portugal and the USA have similar quality. The current ranking of the USA is ridiculous, considering the quality that the USA has. I'm sure I can put the USA in the same ranking as I left Portugal. I just didn't continue my work in Portugal, due to health problems that forced me not to apply, and because of what happened to jvagos, I want jvagos to win this season. But currently I'm fine.

With Norbert, we have been training US players for 5 seasons and we are rejuvenating the team, it is getting stronger and younger, as shown by the U21 World Championships, where Norbert qualified for it with the U21 national team, which included a lot of players trained by us, soon they will form the strength of the national team USA and they will play with the USA team at the World Cup.

Thank you for Norbert's work. But he is not the USA candidate, but in U21. I hope he wins in the U21s!

The USA has the capacity to generate many players, and it makes no sense to hand over a team to you, just because you train some USA players. All help is welcome, but it's exaggerated to hand over the team just for the sake of it.

After 5 seasons, the USA are ranked 47th. Why would it be any different now?

The current USA team has the quality to be in 32nd place in the rankings, not 47th. And you've already had 5 seasons to change that. It's time to try to make a change, with someone who has already seen a huge rise in rankings.

Unfortunately, in order to increase the ranking you have to start from the basics, i.e. from training young people, and we do it, but with Portugal you did not achieve the results you boast about and you had 3rd place twice with them, we work long-term.

And for me, as a coach of the national team, the relationship with the coach of the U21 national team is also important, and here with Norbert we have an excellent one.

One thing I'd like to say, is that I'm not really a fan of this perceived entitlement to the job simply due to the fact you train a bunch of our players.

It almost seems like the election is baked in.

Norbert, too. However at least the team's performing well under (edit: his) management. Plus I have seen Norbert's activity in this country first hand, he literally reached out to me when I joined last year and asked me about a player I was assigned who was young, and he proceeded to help me over the course of about 20-30 emails help reacquaint me with the game (new changes, etc). It's part of why today I do the same to some other new players. Because this game is kinda difficult to wrap your head around.

- Yes, I have two 3rd places for Portugal. Portugal improved in the ranking, went to Pot 2, and this season has already managed to come in 1st. I think that's what all Americans want to happen. Why do you use that as an argument against me, when in fact, it's an argument in my favor?

- You got, I think... a 4th place, and two 3rd places for the USA. So, I don't know why it's bad that I came in 3rd place, if you did too.

- Finally, if you want to search through my CV, you can do a more complete search. I was also in Portugal U21, I managed to qualify Portugal U21 for the world cup. I know what it's like to work with young players. How long has it been since Portugal U21 has been to a World Cup? After me, Portugal managed it the following year, with a team still chosen by me, and after that... Portugal never managed it again.

Even if you manage to improve the quality of the USA squad a little, you won't have great success, because given the current quality of the squad... you should be able to put together a tactic that would put the USA in 32nd place, not 47th. Therefore, it would be better if I started the long-term project, to put the USA on top.

Thanks for comments. As we are in the USA, what I want are the opinions of Americans, as Americans are in charge here.

most of the guys here don't really post much...

Also, to be 100% clear on this, since it is written word on the internet.
I am NOT saying Adivip should not be re-elected. He is qualified to continue on.

I am just concerned that both managers are all but guaranteed re-election over and over again. As long as they want it. I'm not sure that's healthy. Our NT's results are OK, but could they be better? Possibly.

Releme - as far as you, I am a little disappointed you made it to SuperLeague in your country and won all of 1 game up there. I understand your team is underpowered, I looked. However, my own team was similarly underpowered in USA ML here, and yet I finished 5th. Also, your bank balance of -108 million tells me you're probably not very good at training players, and although this isn't a major focal point at the senior level, I do wonder how exactly someone manages to be that in the red and still have a team. (I know, I know, stadium income)

I was more absent these two seasons.

Unfortunately, I had a heart problem, I had surgery, and I was in the hospital for a few months. I haven't been well since July 2023. I only accessed Sokker on my cell phone, and it's only been since February this year that I've been more active on the computer. As the league position was weak, I chose to sell all the old players, and bought several younger players. If you see my squad, I have a young squad.

The fact that I already knew that I was going to be relegated also contributed to putting young players on the field, even if they were in poor form. That's why the results were poor. But I have a history of good results, both in the championship and for Portugal, and I have already recovered my health so I can return to work 100%.

About -108 million, my team is not broke. I have money on hand, so if I spent it... it's because I have that money to spend. If I have a positive balance, and a young team, then I think I have done things well.

Well, I am glad your health issues are improving. That sounds like a really tough fight. I can absolutely emphasize with you. I had a kidney transplant three months ago, although my hospital stay was much, much shorter (6 days)

Personally I do not care about the results of NT matches or the standings as I am primarily am interested in developing U21 talent and growing our standing there. You and Norbert are responsible for training the overwhelming majority of our U21 talent while simultaneously reinvigorating our forums. While this action does not qualify you to be the NT coach I think the results have been fair as Islander said.

Txiii, so you know how painful it is. I stayed in the hospital longer, because I caught 2 rare bacteria that lodged in the heart valve. And this spread infections to several organs. I was on antibiotics for several weeks because of these bacteria.
