Coaches announce retirement at the start of the season but won't actually RETIRE until the END of the season. So don't fire them and you have a season to find the replacement. :)

I waited all season. I tried to find replacement right before weekly update where he would quit. I didn’t want to pay the 50 k to sack him

Awesome. If coaches decided to retire, we still have to pay sacking fee?
2025-12-23 05:34:35
No. If he leaves on his own, there's no fee.
Although it wouldn't surprise me if it happened AFTER a weekly update in which you got charged for him.

Yes he left after weekly update which is kind of annoying so my expenses went from 196K to 230K this week

Good to know. Then is it better to sack them?

I don't think there is a 'better'. It costs you one way or the other (a week salary). Firing any coach comes with a one week salary (going from memory). If I am incorrect someone say so. It's been three seasons since I cycled through coaches due to the reform.
