Subject: [U21] Islander
Tad to

I hope islander can apply for the coach. Sure, he has no junior school but imo tactically and call up wise he would make great choices. He is an amazing tactician.
This is a troll, and I am not at all interested.
I am happy with mustafaatik as coach

A coach cannot open a nomination on behalf of another coach. I think the moderators should close this thread.
Tad to
mustafaatik
Whats wrong with creating a thread? Can't vote for the person anyway but nothing wrong with proposing something. Free speech
I love this thread!
it's too funny!!
What would the forum be without trolls and popcorn!
Cheers!!
& Happy holidays to all

Because Islander has no interest in the u21 role I am closing this thread as per request. :)
lol opened again at the request of the person who requested it be closed ;)
OK, so Mustafaatik has informed me of his plans. He wants to apply for the Lithuania U21 team. His reasons are his. This is something I had to realize when Norbert chose to leave. Him leaving really, really bothered me at the time.
I know that not everyone agrees with Musta's management, but as I've said before I thought he did a great job, was accessible, and reasonable. I hope he wins his next election and has nothing but success.
I'll leave it at that.
I'm going to lay it all out there, nothing held back. You guys can choose to vote for me, or not. It's not going to hurt my feelings.
Now, I originally had no plans of running. I was more than happy to have Mustafaatik keep running the team. That was why I had wdp74 close this thread. I'm not particularly happy with this game right now.
That said, my first rebuild has been in process for 3 seasons now, and letting it take over was an inevitability. ML has gotten a lot better and deeper than when I first arrived on the scene after three seasons.
After Dennis54 spend 20 million dollars or whatever to manage to finish 9th last season, I didn't see the use (nor did I have the money). Having Armteam win two nonsense results against me crashing out anyway. It's over and done with.
As a result, I do have time. Even when I promote back to ML after next season, my team won't really be ready defensively due to the organization of my training. Pace won't be there. I'm not spending on (as Tad likes to refer to them) "grandpas" because in a game that is constantly bleeding us dry financially (if you want to compete all the time), it's a losing proposition if you choose to train your own future in its entirety.
So, until someone else I respect tactically decides to run, I'm providing an alternative to Christoph who in my estimation is so tactically useless since my return to this game that Tad finally helped convince me to run.
About Christoph: 433N sound familiar? He has a transfer balance of 74 million over his 7 years in the game. That is AFTER spending around 40 million on his current rebuild. So, he's a great GM, no doubt. However, that's not what a national team manager needs to have. He needs to understand how to at least compete well against equal or superior competition. He's show no aptitude in my two years here at doing so, and maybe finally, after spending 4 times what I have on my current rebuild, he might actually find a way to stick in ML for more than a cup of coffee. Yeah he has ancient history on his side. Has anyone seen any inkling of that whatsoever since? If so, show me, because I haven't.
The reality is, I do not trust him to run a team with inferior talent. Whereas, this is literally all I've ever done here, because that GM thing? I kinda suck at it because I kept first gen players and took them to several top 3 finishes in league and Cup. I should've just sold and restarted sooner, but the idea of doing that was boring. It was more fun for me to try and win with inferior trained players. It didn't work out, and that's okay. My future/second gen team will be better than anything this league has ever seen (to date) when it's all said and done. That's a ways down the line.
Whether you vote for me, vote for Christoph, or vote for someone else. Please vote. Heaven knows what happens if you don't these days in this country.
Best of luck to whoever wins.

Oh, and about the training USA kids thing. It's not going to happen. If that is an immediate vote against me, that's fine. Christoph has a youth school actually giving him players worth a damn, and he has a pretty massive bankroll he could use to train more kids.
I'm here for tactics and trying to work with managers on developing training programs to make them as useful as I think they can be at 20, 21. Obviously not owning 7-8 players there's only so much I can do, but much like in Israel way back when, I'll do what I can.

you have my vote.
just to make sure "Christoph who in my estimation is so tactically useless since my return to this game that Tad finally helped convince me to run." - your words, not mine haha. I have no knowledge about how good Christoph would be

Yes Tad convinced me to run, but the tactically useless thing, that's all me.
Sorry, little buzzed. Christmas stocking shopping then a couple of doppelbocks after.
