Subject: Debt?

Whats the deal, I just started playing Sokker here and my team can't get out of debt. I have not even bought any players, just a coach, junior coach, assistant, and stadium seats... I am losing 40,000 a week. IS this normal and what am/was I supposed to do?

You'll notice that income (especially in lower leagues) is tough to come by. When I started, I went with a head coach that was unearthly in striker, and good assistants, and a solid youth coach, and didn't buy anything but a $5k winger, and I still was running a weekly deficit and needed the end of season bonus to make do. Probably expanding your stadium straight away was a mistake.

definitely a mistake. C league crowds ususally top out around 3000-3500 it seems.

Anyway, my suggestion is to PM guacamole and request a mentor. There is an informal mentoring program here where experienced players help teach new players the ropes.

I too am running a pretty bad deficit thanks to owning 3 asst coaches and a good head cocah specific to what I am training now. in fact I'll ding -200k by the end of next week :/

I keep getting told it'll all work out, guess I'm still skeptical lol.

I've been in debt since I started the game, and had to sell my most talented trainee for $300k to avoid going bankrupt (and the team that got him went inactive, and the player was killed /cry).

But you do get lucky once in awhile like a certain $790k junior =D

Skeptical? Grasshopper, you're about to autopromote. :P

True, true. I almost wish they'd just promote me now, but it'll be good to stockpile another couple hundred fans this second half.

Has anyone out there tried operating without any assistants? Might that be the way to go for those economically challenged clubs that are just starting out?

That is actually what I wanted to do....I had one assistant for a while and I was basically treading water economically - I'd go -12 or so on road weeks, and make most of it up on the home one.

My mentor advised me to pick up assistants though. And to his credit, I've gotten about as many secondary 'pops' as I have pace ones after 3 weeks.

I'm so due for a good pace pop week :(

Solid assistants are so cheap, i guarantee it's not worth it to go assistant-free.
