Do you guys agree that experience should be one of the attributes at sokker? If someone can help me realize how the marks work as well it will be highly appreciated....

I believe marks are predominantly based on how skilled your player is - not how he does in the match.

That makes more sense. Some of my players attributes are low but their marks are very high. Some players has great attributes but not so good marks...

Actually, I see just the opposite - unless I am misunderstanding your reply.

I'll have strikers score 3,4,5 goals and their mark will be like 28 or something stupid.

Then I'll have a midfielder who barely touched the ball all game earn a 33.

Thats why I think marks aren't really based on match performance.

I mean, let's be honest, when your goalie doesn't touch the ball the entire game (except to perform goal kicks) he doesnt deserve a mark of 42.

Marks are a means of comparing team overall strength/skill...

ok, so lets say I have a defender with very good defensive attribute as well as above solid all the secondary ones and he receives 30 mark. Than I got this guy, weak defensive attribute as well as secondary between weak-solid but he gets 32-33 every game. How can I look at this statistic and decide who is a better defender?

If the second one is a defender also, then I have no idea.

My comments are based on my own experiences so far. Granted, this is only my first season playing Sokker - but I tend to be a quick study as my record and results might indicate.

I'm sure someone who's been in the game a few more seasons then I might have insight on this.

I just know that I pretty much disregard match scores when I evaluate players.

I've seen too many players who I thought had great games - a lot of forced turnovers and good passes, end up with match scores of 25 or 26 to give any signifigant credence to the ratings.

It is interesting and confusing at the same time...I am wondering if anyone really knows what gets the marks higher and lower.....

Moved to Sokker USA, as is a sokker type topic.

my starting keeper who normally get 35-38 rating recently got a 15 rating, even though his form has stayed the same.
I also cant quite figure it out. my theory is it based on how much he contributes to the game, not his skill. of course you must have good skill to have high ratings

See, this is exactly what I dont see happening.

Contributions in game have near zero affect on the player's match score that I've seen.

With my defenders, I have noticed that if I play them further apart they all get normal ratings. But if I put them closer together it seems that my central defender's rating is boosted and the two wingbacks' have a lower than normal rating. I think it is because my central defender is quicker than the other two. Since they are so close together it is like a foot race to every attacker/midder/loose ball and his speed allows him to get there and thus contribute more.

The case of the keeper getting lower ratings is because he has not had many shots to defend and thus contributed basically 0.

On the other hand, I can take any of my players and make him play the entire game in the lower left hand corner of the screen. He will contribute nothing, but receive a high rating.

Form and Stamina seems to have a big affect on ratings.
