SLAMBOT [del] to All
In todays match, Lietuva showed why they are #1 in group J. With a defensive line that kept even stokes in check with ease, and power forwards with firepower enough to bounce shots off our divine keeper into the goal, they came out victorious 4-2, but it was a hard fought battle.

Qualification for the world cup has ended, and we find ourselves sitting in the #2 spot. A great result, considering group J to be one of the toughest leagues in this seasons world cup, with many doubts that we would even come out of the group alive.

Nice Job, good luck in the next round.

Any chance we can lose those wingers in World Cup play?? They did no good at all as far as getting the ball to our forwards. Our defenders aren't good enough passers, so a lot of their attempted passes to the wingers went out of bounds for a throwin for Lietuva. And not having a defensive mid meant that when a Lietuva mid stole the ball from one of ours the defense was hung out to dry.

Perhaps I'm the only one that feels this way, but it seems to me like we should have done much better this season. The reluctance to drop the wingers after they've accomplished almost nothing almost kept us out of the next round. I know how much you like to set up the wingers on throwins, but having them play way out there the whole match is taking them out of the action and hurting our overall performance.

If i'm the only one that sees this, then I apologize, but I don't think I am.

Theres really a lot to todays tactic you dont see.

Here's what I can see....

In the first match against Lietuva, playing a 'normal' tactic we had 52% of the possession, 51% of play on our half, and 11 shots against them while giving up 11 shots.

In yesterday's match, playing your 'high winger' tactic we had 49% possession, with 64% of play on our half, and took 3 shots while giving up 14 shots.

With the 'normal' tactic we played them even and would have had an excellent chance at beating them this time around. With the 'high wing' tactic we were manhandled, and were lucky to keep it as close as it was.

If these matches used the new test engine, then I'm not sure how much I can blame fro for any bad tactics.

This new engine's positioning skill, imo, is absolute garbage....and unneccessary as it detracts from a manager ability to tactical dominate a match via the tactical editor.

They don't, it's only been tested in friendly matches.

heh, that really proves my point that there is much you don't see, and I'm sure most of you wouldn't notice either. Just trust me with this one guys, i'll take us as far as possible in the upcoming elimination rounds.

I donated all of the money to charity, it was never the driving factor behind the sale.
