I didn't say it was based on who has the largest city, i said it was based on location.

Hey Guac, I think the Chicago Wolves outdraw the Blackhawks, and I suspect the Phantoms may outdraw the Flyers any day now :)

I think the flyers could lose for 2 seasons and still be sold out. :)

But thanks for the painful reminder.

Roy, good point, I live near Miami, we got a steady crowd of about 10k, but the problem was they were mostly blue collar Latin Americans, who used the money to pay for tickets, brought their own food, and the concessions barely brought revenue to team.

So I think that was part of the problem, plus South Florida is the home of the bandwagon fans. I suspect if the Fusion had stayed, and they had a game the same night as the Marlins, the Fusion would out draw them. So many options in large areas like here. Ironically of all the Stadiums, Lockhart was the easiest to get to, and a great, closup place to see a game. Sad when they folded.

It is sad that Florida only has Division one teams. Soccer is huge here and eliminating both MLS teams was a very sad thing. You guy are lucky enough to have Romario, we have nothing.....;(

What is really sad is I did not even know Romario was here. The Fusion actually never played in Miami, their home stadium was in Fort Lauderdale, which is close to my home. Tropical Park Stadium would be a long drive, so hard to pay attention to it.

That is the number one problem...We need more soccer strictly stadiums....plus a better youth system that will feed the professional teams instead of the college teams.
