Subject: "tactical dicipline"
seems to me this helps out the teams that have been around longer..and can afford better then solid head coaches.

Well like a lot of things in professional sports, the more established clubs do benefit from hiring a better coach, since they have the money to do so. As teams progress up the ladder they will have more money and better coaches. Besides, at the B and C levels probably not as important.

no, because a lot of professional sports have salary caps.
But salary caps have nothing to do with how much a coach makes, and with the exception of MLS all the major football leagues (if you want to call MLS major) have free spending.
it stinks for a team like my team because my entire squad is young and not experienced. I purchased many young guys in order to train them and now they all have tragic-hopeless "tactical discipline"....I dont like it
i have 3 avarege TD players..
i think its a a good idea, ppl are complainin now, but they will get the hang of it in a season or 2..plus it adds more depth and realism to the game

Excuse me? I am under the impression that teams are PAYING these players .. therefore, they are professionals.
At NO level of professional play does a player NOT follow the tactics prescribed for more than one turn.
Setting a player's TD to "tragic" seems to indicate the total inability to follow directions .. hardly what a PROFESSIONAL player would be expected to do.
This game is losing my interest now as I find it very difficult to set a tactic .. and then see an uncovered defender turn and kick the ball out of bounds for no reason ... and a striker .. though 1-on-1 with a keeper ... turn and kick the ball to a DEFENDER .. rather than shoot.
Realism? Hardly!
Depth? Define your term!

Actually, experience was set based on the # of games played, some players have experience of formid+... Teamwork was set to tragic, and greg made it clear in the news that this wasn't a big deal since it got up to the appropriate level quickly. So you have 2 games before it counts, and i'd expect it to get up there.
And it's gonna be low for players who haven't played professionally yet. It's very realistic therefore. How many players go right from college and do well in their positions in the NFL, for example?

Plus, you should consider ML as professionals, B-league would be more like a HS team, and the weak players on a HS team would indeed make really poor decisions. Especially if the B-league player had week or worse playmaking.
It's just like on the other game that you play - you can't compare the different leagues and expect to see quality performance from teams in V.XX... Just here, you actually see the misperformance as opposed to solely a high level box score :)

I'd gather he's seen those things... I have, and i thnk it's appropriate for players with no playmaking or low-skilled players to make silly mistakes like that.
I disagree with your analogy. Lower levels of professionalism in EUROPE are NOT like HS and College teams in USA. This is a Polish-based game and should indicate skill levels based on that basis.
As for the INITIAL levels of TD for players:
Looking at the TOP team in Poland ..
Solid = 2
Good = 1
Adequate= 4
Average = 6
Weak = 1
Poor = 2
Unsatisfactory = 1
Hopeless = 0
Tragic = 4
The INITIAL values should have all been the SAME for EVERY player .. and their "training" or "development" should be based on the factors used to set their present INITIAL values.
It is another indication of "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer".
With greg telling everyone that TD will be easily 'trained' ... those players with high initial TD skills will train to levels which, even if capped, will make inequity in tactical skill a sure invitation to walk away from this sim.

Haven't seen?
What sim are you playing?
Those things happen in every game I have watched .. even in Polish Top league.

hey, I'm with you Havy in regards to this TD crap.
I understand the counter-arguments, and why its in the game, but it's simply taking a portion of the FUN out of the game. The fun of devising tactics to beat equal or superior teams talent wise.
This won't really affect the better teams, or teams that have been around longer and can afford expensive head coaches....
but it'll sure as hell adversely affect me, and that detracts from the fun level of this game.
