barndog [del] to All
Just wanted to post something that will show how important talent and age is for youths coming to your squad, much more important than the level at the time they're called up.

I don't have the junior files back far enough, so I can't tell you this guys skill level when pulled, but it was not high. Don't know how quickly he popped either, but he was definitely talented.

When he first appeard in my squad, on 7-14-2005 his stats looked like this....
Rupert Jaso, age 16
value: 25 500 $

unsatisfactory stamina,
poor pace,
adequate technique,
tragic passing,
tragic keeper
weak defender
average playmaker
unsatisfactory striker

Now 38 pops later, at the still young age of 20, he is a brilliant defender who's just been called up to join our NT. His current value is $417,000.

So young teams, if you've got a talented junior pulled at a young age, you might want to think twice before putting them on the market for someone else to train.

if you actually have coaches at the level you do, then I think its safe to assume they (teams with coaches)don't need to be taught this.

There had to be a LOT of secondary pops over that time that most B and C league teams simply won't see.

And if you're an A league or Major league and don't know this, then damn...how'd you get that far?

Still, I suppose there are could be some people who stumble into success. Good pointed BD :)

1 in C, 3 in B, 1 in A.

That's some pretty impressive training, barndog.

Starsfan beat me to it, but I'll post anyway...

He's an A-League team now, but at the time the player joined his team, he was in C-League. He promoted to B-League on 2005-08-22, and then promoted to A-Leauge on 2006-07-24. The only left for you (islander) to do is get yourself a decent 16y junior prospect. :)

ahh I see now. Thats really risky though. Youth school is a huge drain on the young team's economy.

In fact, I just virtually eliminated all of my youth simply because none of them train worth a crap, and its just a non-stop money sink.

Of course, they might train worth a crap if I could afford better coaching.

Thanks Islander for making me dig some more....... LOL

My coaching staff at the end of my first season was an average head coach with unearthly defending, a very good junior coach, and 3 average assistants.

I have improved my coaches whenever I could as I've focused on improving through training rather than the transfer market. But my coaches during his first season of play were no better than any C team can afford.

I live with my Junior TEam. My initial (and still) choice is to train up players from my JT.

If you check my transfer history there's only 4 bought players (and one of them is a keeper that i bought only because mine got injured). The rest of my team still has 3 Original players as FIrst teamers and most of the others are from my youth team.

7 of my 11 starters came up through my youth school. I can't imagine where my team would be if I'd eliminated it.

Guy would have been similar to the lufa.

btw, you can also BUY a player who you can grow, he doesn't need to be a pull.

Well, I'm going to find out ;)

The junior school thus far has proven to be an utter waste of money I don't have.

And yeah, I've bought players to train. Something I don't need to wait 4 seasons to flip.

until you pull a 4-week talent kid, it probably is. But then it makes up for it.

By the way i forgot: my last bought player, originally was one of yours.......Garret GOLDBLUM.

He's very fit to play in A league (or at least i think so)

yeah like Baxter Ballard, my 17 year old that sold to a liga 3 polish team for 800k. Before him, I was hovering at the bankruptcy line.
