Subject: [NT] fromastaflex; re-election

For those of you who don't already know me:
I am the current national team coach, voted in around this time one season ago. I also just recently finished at the top of the table in the major league for my first time, after two runner up seasons.

Under my management, we (the USA) have just wrapped up our group play regular season- a qualification round. We finished the group stage in second play of group J, deemed by many as one of the tougher groups in this years world cup, with many doubters that we would even make it out alive.

This 2nd place finish earned us a spot in the upcoming world cup tournament, which has not yet started yet. This means we have a number of very difficult games ahead of us, which brings me to my point about why I should be re-elected: I am one of the most experienced managers we have in the USA (both internationally and regularly), and we need someone with this sort of experience to lead us through the rest of the tournament, and in general, into the future as well.

As I read your campaign speech, I cannot help but be reminded of a movie I just watched 3 hours ago. "Wag the Dog" is the name of the movie. It is from the early 80's, anyways they are trying reelect the President. And these stupid commercials keep coming on saying "I say: Don't go changing horses in mid stream". That could be your campaign motto.

You haven't added any of my players. That makes me bitter and vindictive. I shall have to consider voting for Borat.

So is this Cup tournament a two year cycle?

I thought we have elections every 2 seasons (like in the OHTer game) so you could qualify and manage the FINALS too. Anyway you gain the qualification to the Finals, so i think you should go all the way to the END!!!

I agree. I finished 2nd in the voting last time, but I wouldn't even begin to try and steal in after fro did the work getting the squad there. My support is with letting him finish the job he started.

Yeah, I think it's pretty dumb that the vote isnt every two seasons then, based on the World Cup cycle.

This really clarifies my vote now. I was actually interested in giving Barndog a chance, all things being equal...but maybe next year, when its a new Cup cycle.
