Subject: Stadium Construction

Construction on my stadium has not been progressing after two full updates. I only have a 2 day cushion until my next league game.
How have your constructions been going? Is it just me?

Mine's at 1 day, but it should hav ebeen finished today. Hopefully it's finished before my match tomorrow.
I had a recent expansion that finished last week on time. As a matter of fact, one section finished a day sooner than projected.
The days remaining didn't seem to decrease in a manner that would be expected. I saw one update with no change in days and then another update that decreased the number by 2 days

assume effectiveness of construction can be anywhere from .7 to 1.5 days as an example.
First day it's at 5.4 days left (shows rounded 5). Second day at 4.7(shows rounded 5), third day at 3.2 (shows rounded 3). Easy 'nuff.
If you look at the XML available from data.php you can actually see the decimal.

I started identical consturction in 3 different corners of my stadium. One corner is on track to finish a day earlier than the other. The guys working on that corner must not have had as many distractions......or hangovers....
Why would you bother with 3 different locations? Just build all the benches/seats/whatever in one spot. Minimize startup costs. Or did you build different things?
Stadium construction costs don't make any sense to me. Its' cheaper to build in 5K increments than to build 15K in one spot. And it's cheaper to build where you don't have anything already.
For example, it costs me 181,250 to build 5,000 terraces in the corner, then another 212,500 to upgrade them to benches, for a total of 393,750.
But to add 5,000 benches to the end, where I already have some would cost me 400,000.
Or on the sidelines where I have seats already, to add 5,000 more seats would cost 556,250 or 111.25 per seat. To add 10,000 seats would cost 1,150,000 or 115.00 per seat. To add 15,000 seats would cost 1,806,250 or 120.42 per seat.
So, in short, I'm building in 3 different spots to keep construction costs lower.

Yeah i just tried that, terrace expansion is cheaper 0-2500 then 2500-5000. Maybe they need more concrete to build the supports for that many seats.
the seat fastenings and seats are the same price, though.

After digging, it looks like it has something to do with the costs of expanding the terraces. I've left a post in the bug forum.
I expended all areas of my stadium because I wanted it with the same height all the way around. I got it done at 24K but I was selling out. The next step is to get it to 36K.
Crimey, i thought my stadium was getting nice at like 16K after the current upgrade :P
That's intentional if you look at the rules:
Be aware - the price of seats grows proportionally with the size of stand. It might be cheaper to build two smaller stands than a single bigger one.
Makes sense when you think about it. When you have more stuff somewhere, it becomes more awkward to build upon what you already have.

Thanks Mr G. I saw the reply in the bug forum and it made sense.
