Yeah, but shouldn't this be communicated to the seller immediately so that he knows what the hell is going on?
Wait... im lost, were you fined real money, or SK money?
Cuz it looks like the admins made some sort of mistake and should appologize. Its not your fault that an idiot bought a bad player for a nice price.

ok, it doesn't really seem fair to shumpert right now. However Guac made a very good point that is probably best for the game.
Yeah probably, but some of the admins don't speak perfect english (most do), and they have a lot of work to do in relatively small time.
Hawk...to answer your question, I was fined in SK money (can they fine in real money?).
Here is what I am wondering about. Guac, I completely understand if the admins feel that the price does not fit the player and it needs to be adjusted. However, if this is the methodology used, I would expect every single transfer that is not reasonable to be adjusted, as well. Because an owner (and I am not necessarily saying in this specific instance) could hypothetically pay more than what is seen as fair market value to make sure they obtain this player (for instance if they see a certain potential in this player and want to either train or have them on the team). So if the admins do not think it is reasonable for an owner to essentially overpay to obtain a player, shouldn't every player that is whatsoever overpayed for be adjusted to the correct fair sokker market value (not just the adjustment that happened on my team)? Sorry for dragging this conversation on, I apologize.

If i understand well. the money has been took from you, but the user who bought your player didn't got any of those back, so is not really a good thing to overpay a player just to make sure he's going to have him.

Maybe instead of the fine, Sokker Admin's could nullify the transfer by giving the money back to the buyer and the player back to the seller. Of course you could run into a problem if the nullification happened after the seller had already spent all of the money....but this would be an option.
I know of one circumstance when 80% of a fine was reversed by the admins after an SK mail was sent pointing some things out.
Shumpert, your sale wasn't just a high bid. That player purposefully bid high or something like that to cheat or quit or whatever, that's why he was banned. I don't know any more info than you do about why he was banned, that's an admin thing, but because he was banned we know he was purposefully screwing around or breaking rules.
No, the admins don't want to control transfer prices. But when they find a cheater or someone purposefully trying to damage the game, they act.
Sometimes if the sale is still open they cancel the sale. Generally when the sale is complete they do an adjustment. And generally the adjustment is higher than you would have gotten on the open market (assuming the seller wasn't cheating too).

How could you say the price of 65k was fair when his actual value is 97k?
If ANYTHING, it should have been modded down to 97k, not 65k.
To me, 65k is just as arbitrary a value as 240k. a 20 year old with excellent pace? 240k in a bidding war doesn't seem any worse then 65k is as an adjusted value.
eh, sorry lakay. Intended for Guacamole.

Actually, the admins can do a comparison of transfers with similar skills - that's how they do TPA.
Value is irrelevant.
Look at that guy's skills. He'd have been LUCKY to get 50-65K with that. He may have not gone for 5k.
People don't buy goalies with no goalie skill, lol. Or playmakers with no technique or playmaking. He basically had excellent place and adequate passing and nothing else above weak.

He seems useless and worthless to me. Maybe a newbie would spend 50K on him
The buyer was doing something wrong and got banned. That's the key issue here. Don't need to keep repeating...
The only thing that could have been done better is that an explanation should have been sent to the seller.
A generic message should be prepared to aid with future similar matters.

Yeah, there also could be standard emails for the mod stuff too. Priorities and time constraints, tho :(
Anyway, you guys are certainly right, the communication could have been better since shumpert didn't cheat (or at least that i know - I'LL KEEP AN EYE ON YOU SSQUAD!). Closing this.
