That Belgian D was pretty solid, but there looked to be some foul play involved too. Stokes looked like he had waaay too many waffles for breakfast!

That Belgian defense was MORE then solid. They were tackling our strikers from backward angles over and over and over. Thats just silly/depressing.

Throw in a few offsides, and one major dumb attack by Ritchie in the 63rd minute.

Their striker #10 is amazing. He was covered as well as he could possibly be covered, and it didn't matter. He was a superior striker to our middle defense.

Which I guess is what Belgium figured, as they played ultra-conservative otherwise.

Bogan played his ass off to keep it close.


Good effort Fro, you put them in the right place to succeed - you got us as far as our talent could go.

Good game, grats to Belgium.

Tough match - the Belgians looked very good today. Tho I kept thinking Stokes would score an 87th minute goal and save the day. :)

All in all, an nice World Cup by the US squad.

It was really close.

Wasn't close m8.... U were lucky we didn't score more... se the corners in the second half, it wus depressing how soete and verbauwhede kept missing those chances !

Descent game and like always, the deadly flanks of Hellsangel did it again :)

usa had 2 opportunities, belgium had 5 good ones ...

and usa goalkeeper is such a good one ...
