IMO = In My Opinion. :P
Just see too many other managers saying the same thing, so just theorizing what could be.
I have been looking back at my PACE training from last season and noticed the same thing, compared to my stints training Passing and PM and this season with Tech. In the lower levels of PACE (Poor --> Good) it seemed to take longer than what it is taking the same players to pop those levels in TECH this season.

From my longer experience with the game, I can confirm that the Theory about Pace training is slower is false.
I would not like for you or other managers to base their training decisions on wrong information.

guaco ... training pace for THREE weeks and getting ONE pace pop [to POOR], convinces me that pace trains more slowly than anything else.
I'll share some info with you to help you out. (Btw,I'm not bragging just pointing out facts.)
My coaches:
Expenses on coach salaries amounted to 157 975 $.
Main Coach: Brilliant, unearlthly in several key skills
Assistant 1: Brillaint, unearthly in the key skills that my current main coach is not unearthly in (because sometimes he's my main coach).
Assistant 2 and 3: Both of them Incredible.
Youth coach: Magical,
surprisingly I had a 4 week talent youth take 2 weeks to pop from tragic to Hopeless, so this rules out the myth that low skills will always pop in one week.
Recent training results (striker, pace, tech) with talented youths 18 and 19yo and one strangely talented 22yo:
Tragic to average: 2 weeks per pop
average to good: 3 weeks per pop
good to formidable: 4 weeks per pop
In about 4 weeks I'll tell you if it takes roughly 4 weeks to go from formidable to outstanding.
Notice: If your trainee is taking more than 3 weeks to pop from poor to weak,
1) He's not talented
or
2) Get better coaches
I'm revealing this for the good of the USA.

I like the way you think (for the good of the USA). Thanks :)
I train pace every season during my Cup run and have never seen any evidence that it trains slower. I religiously track training, skills, and pops so I would know if it wasn't working right with my squad.
Today's training brought 5 technique pops in my first week of tech training, so all appears ok here. Had a junior pop too.

Well I had 7 PACE pops this week, 1 Random. and 4 in my youth school.
It was a good week.
It was a good week.
so if my 19 yr old popped from good to solid in 3 weeks it can be assumed that he is talented?
it also took 3 weeks to go from adequate to good.

3 weeks from adequate to good,
followed by 3 weeks from good to solid then:
yes, you got a nice one. I pay a lot of money in coaches to get that.

i train pace, since a while back, this week pop:
20 yr- formidable to outstanding 4 weeks
he was an incredible w/ 3.5 talent when he came out

What do you have for a coaching staff?
It looks like all I'm getting from those brilliant and incredible coaches is better general training.
Then is it really worth it to spend that much to slightly raise the rate of a slow training rate?
I've had several pops in skills that I don't train. I should not complain but I have to re-evaluate spending 150K a week in coaches.
