Well, I possibly just got locked in HT, but I put an ad for sokker in my goodbye press announcement.

lol they banned your entire team for mentioning sokker on the forums? I thought the worst they could do was a forum ban?

Yeah but he's a multiple incorrigible offender.

I got a ban for 28 days for "personal and nationalistic attacks" (apparently, it's in the closed "Xanga" thread on non-HT USA). If I got another ban, I was supposed to be booted, so I'm working on the assumption that I'm booted.

The Ask a HT thread was also a bit of a special thread. Kinda pushing it in their faces to ask there lol.

LOL, nice work. That game sucks compared to Sokker anyway.

I'm about to give up there, and I've had a team for like 4 years.

from people who play both games, it seems like the only reason they keep playing HT is because they have invested all that time, like you say, into it and its hard to quit then.

Jaspy from HA says he likes sokker, for example, but doesnt end up playing because of HT. He apparently promoted after a year and a hlf in the same divisio so he's mostly playing HT because he promoted, not because its better.

Kinda ass backwards, but when you spent 2, 3, 4 years on a team it is hard to really let go.

Another reason to stick with it is the great community, with federations, supporters and flag collecting.

true, a good community can totally keep people playing.

My HT team once graced division II. Then the market crashed and my low return on trainees could not keep up with massive 500k+ wages. My team is in sort of a hibernation state now. Losing 20 league games in a row, we are poised to demote to D5 next season. :)

Maybe one day Hattrick will become fun again and I will actually try to start winning.

I'm in the same position - I was in III and could have had a shot at II if the wage curve didn't strike. Now I'm in IV, and can't win because I can't afford to play my players enough. I'm trying one more season (next one), and if I'm not easily back in III I'm done.

I never go to NON-HT (USA), but I did to see the thread you mentioned. Essentially, half of the posts have been deleted, so I can't even read the supposedly offensive material.

But I can tell you must have slightly enjoyed going back and forth with a Brit-twit.
