messages asking people to sign up for sokker as i'ts better than hattrick. Your
account is being locked as it seems it was only created to spam and advertise

HT and Sm are two entirely different games, this one started later and has a different format. When you start a game is sometimes relative to success...apparantely exactly like the success some are enjoying as they joined Sokker earlier.
I am curious, how far did all of you get or what series do you hail from currently?
Seriously, there are different places to advertise/troll for new S.m. players besides parasiting off existing games - try posting in sports forums like those associated with Sports Magazines and Clubs.

When you start in a game is VERY relative to your success in it. Thats no different then any game.
Me, I joined this game exactly two seasons ago. In C league, just like you. I won my qualifier, and spent last season in B. Won my series this season but lost my qualifier in OT (not to my disappointment, really).
There are indeed other places to troll, but let's be honest here. It's FAR more effective to rip off HT players because thats exactly the player base you want. People who play soccer management sims. PLus there's the fact that it REALLY is better. Better match engine, better tactical options, and overall better soccer players required to play a given position.
This game isn't w/o its flaws, but the positives of Sokker over ANY other soccer sim objectively outstrip any of the competition.
Anyone who knows anything about marketing and sales knows you go for a target audience.
I'm a national team member of the Hockey game Hockey Arena (shameless plug# 4875). We did recruiting in hockey forums but it seldom works. Not like ripping players from other inferior games - or even from other sport management games.
It can work both ways though. In HA I plug Sokker just as well. Hell it has its own active thread in Discussion USA over there - approved by the game staff because it's a mutual promotion thing.
I can safely say I've helped bring the USA about 6, maybe 8 active owners...and another 4-8 who came over, but just couldn't get into 'soccer'.
If you don't believe me, check out the enrollment in my friendly Cup next season. This past season it was 16. We split it into two different divisions, then after one cycle through the division we had informal playoffs cross divisions via scheduled friendlies the last 4 weeks, it was great.

Ahh, I dont get 1 of those, my 34 points and +55 GD lost the tiebreaker for my series, lol.
To clue in those who aren't aware of the Pig Barn - Low Pressure System connection (and why would they be, really?), Pig Barn just promoted to my series, plus they beat my son in the first Sokker game he ever played. Thumped him 5-0 in the first round of the Cup.
Needless to say, there is some family honor on the line in the HT qualification match.
Which means that I'm destined to lose. :-(
