Do players that are 22 years of age improve their skills at the same rate as 18 year old players?(Passing or stamina for example)

oh ok, cuz i got this one guy who is 22 and i've been training him for 2-3 weeks now. With a coach who has striker as magical! and still no change. That's why i was confused.- thanks.
This question is a bit technical. Keep in mind that there are several factors involved here. If the 18 yo and the 22 yo are equally skilled, equally talented, and equally trained, then yes the 18 yo will pop faster.
Here are the factors to keep in mind.
1) Talent. A hidden attribute that all players have. An untalented 18yo will probably improve slower than a highly talented 22 yo.
2) Current Skill level. Unlike other manager games, it is harder to improve at higher levels. So a player that is excellent at striking will take longer to level than a player that is tragic.
3) Age. It is a factor. A 22 yo is still trainable. Preferably the player is a finished product by the time he is 22-24. I personally would not train anybody past 24, unless that training was in pace and you are training a lot of other younger players.
4) Level of your coaches: You said you have a magical striker coach. Assistants also play a small role in training.
More than likely you bought your 22 yo striker and he had just popped to the level he is now. So you may be in for many more weeks of training depending on his talent.

Stamina: same speed for all ages
other skills: what Billy said!
Nut shell: a talented 22 yo will train faster than a horribly untalented 18 yo.

I'd guess a VERY talented 24 year old will train slower than a HIDEOUSLY untalented 18 year old tho. Training slows down drastically after 23
yes I noticed the slow down but don't underestimate the untalented.
Thanks guys, i'll take that into consideration. My assistant coach is descent. but not that good.
Since you are new, I would not worry about the assistant coaches too much. But I would at least have something. 3 average coaches with low wages are better than nothing.
exactly. Until this season I just used 3 'good' coaches whos salary was like 5k combined.
