The same in Italy, after the start to legalize betting on Sports, this kind of system lost a lot. I don't think i ever managed to do a lot, i usually guess where my heart said and not my mind!!

The point of the game is building a successful franchise. Going up to A league with a 34 rated team and 880 fans isn't going to do that.

I've only been in the game two seasons now...

You will miss out on sponsor money that could be used for better coaches and help get your team stronger faster.

Money is scarce in this game in the lower leagues.

1) Better youth coach will yield 1 or two million dollar studs each season.

2) Better assistants or main coach will yield more random pops and a stronger team.

The other factor is for those who truly enjoys this game.

- tougher competition is the only way you really learn. The tactic editor allows you to be very creative. A loosing streak brings the best out of you or helps you realize what's missing.

A losing streak will also diminish interest in the game. Especially when you don't have the players to make ANY tactics work.

I pulled enough rabbits out of my ass to win my B division. There's nothing more I can do right now.

The fan loss after I lose my first 4-5 games through season end will balance out any monetary gains I get from being in A league, I'm pretty sure.

I've seen may lose interest after getting spanked in the ML.

Some have given up eventhough they had good players.

Islander is right, NOONE wants to be in A-League 01 next season. The Enforcers are pissed off and will be looking to make an example of their opponent each and every Sunday.

What's the USA record for fewest goals allowed in a season of league play???

That won't be a problem for me. Given good enough players (read: comparable to the competition), I won't be losing - much.

I've just won a division with 3 superior teams in it. That's all I can do. Expecting anything more out of my team in A after two seasons in game is completely and utterly unrealistic.

Bah, I promoted to A-League after only 1.5 seasons (took over a mid-table team halfway through the season, scraped enough points to finish second and there weren't any qualifiers).

Take it from me, A-League teams suck. I should know.

Guac did it also, but that was 4 seasons ago. Thats 4 whole seasons of development.

The two things that seperate my team from a decent A league team is a) A league strikers, of which I have zero and b) overall team speed (which will get worked on second half next season).

I just finished my third season in A-League.

Seriously, though, if you've been actively improving your team (which I know you have been), you stand a good shot of earning a qualifier.

I haven't been improving my team that much (I still play four or five original players in my A-team) and I play basically the same tactics every week.

He told Guac and I in his league thread seriously, that he just wants to stop working hard at winning, and wants to have an easy mode season in B.

Seriously, that was his reason. He has a good enough team, but wants to auto-win for a season.

mparks: in another season, my team will be, rating wise, close to your level.

I'll promote then, when I'm convinced I won't get my ass completely handed to me.

If it weren't for the fan loss I'd incur up there, I'd try to promote now.
