"Will you try to make the US team more puclic, to US based managers?
As in asking others?"

-Asking the general public for advice: No
-Discussing results, performances, expectations: Yes

"And how will you motivate the US managers to train their players so that we can get a better team?"

- Like the rest of you I got very motivated when Fro reached the 1/4 finals. I'm telling you know that if elected I won't be happy if we don't make it to the semi-finals. Good results on the field will give USA managers something to fight for.

United we stand!!!

Our players:

I've been studying our current players and watching some of our past games.

We seriously need to train a future generation of superstars (We need a name for this Generation). I hope to get the program started.

We need a commitment from some top clubs to train 1 player, much like my rival candidate did with Bogan (great job). The club will be free to sell off the other training spots but must commit to developing this one Super NT Player. I don't expect foreign users to be so enthousiastic about this commitment but those of us who want to beat Poland one day will join the battle.

The super NT Player will be trained up to 27 yo with specific target skills. The Target skills will be voted by ML and A-league teams. If we start now with 16 and 17 yos 3 or 4 seasons from now we will have a strong U-21 team which will pave the way to our first World Cup trophy. Poland has been getting great youth pulls because they outnumber us. With focused and commited training we can catch them.

What should the name be? Generation?

Will you be willing to participate?

If this goes through I'll track the program even if I don't win the NT election.

Any questions for me as the NT coach candidate?

its a great idea..thats exactly what i'm doing with jermaine dillard....i've been getting lots of sk mails of people interested in him, but i intend to sell him till hes 24......

ive got a magical pull coming out in 11 weeks that can participate
2007-03-12 22:17:04
I have a question for you. I'm pretty sure it's guac's job to ask this question, but I haven't seen it asked in this round of NT elections yet:

Would you prefer a monkey butler or a robot butler?
2007-03-12 22:20:54
@starsfan: OOOH Yeah, thanx.

I was taking life too seriously. *lakay, your response??*

@lakay: How do you ensure that the NT candidate ends up with the team that's active in that program? Overpay whatever's necessary?
2007-03-13 00:07:02
You only to train 1, 1 super NT per team will not be too much of a burden. We're doing this for USA!

Options:

1) a Magical or brilliant talented youth from your Junior school. (for most teams.)

2) The teams who can afford it like myself, pay the extra 500K for the USA trainee.

3) We're talking about a talented well rounded trainee so overpayment is relative. Spending 2.7 Million for a talented well rounded trainee is not uncommon for teams in the ML. Let's make them USA NTs.

BTW: I've been getting great trainees from my youth squad.

Serious questions only!

I would go with the robot (no monkey hair on my food)

no further discussion about this please :)

If I were to get such a youth I would participate.

If I were to get such a youth I would faint.......I haven't exactly had much/any luck with da utes

If I can ever find the right USA trainee then I could committ to long term training of a super striker. I would love a triple divine pace/technique/striking USA striker. I have not done the math, so I do not know how long it would take to train a player. Maybe it is not even possible?
2007-03-13 12:18:21
Billy it's easier for you to find a trainee more than most other users.

Sources:

1) Your own Junior school. You should have a magical youth coach (plenty of sponsor money in the ML).

2) you have a few million to spare for the next talented brilliant striker youth that comes out.

Good point on doing the trainingn calculation to see if our goals are achievable.

Midfielders:

I've read that offensive wingers don't need much defense and I don't fully agree.

All midfielders should have:

Very High pace, High defender
High technique, High playmaker
High passing,

High: Very good or higher (at leat two of the skills marked as high should be excellent or higher).
Very High: Outstanding or higher

Don't take a mid trainee to brilliant PM because the other skills must be trained.

I actually only have a brilliant junior coach. I know, I'm ashamed myself. I'll work on getting me a magical or unearthly youth coach very soon.
2007-03-13 14:55:15
Well, if I ever get a player worth taking to the levels your describing then I would be willing to use a slot specifically for an American.
2007-03-13 14:59:35
I would love to bring this guy on board. Look at the wage! I tried to pull a magical coach twice just now and wasted 70k in the process. So I am thinking it might be cheaper to buy a coach, even if it is 500k+.

Jakub Florczyk , age: 49
magical coach, wage: 37 225 $
Current bid: 463 125 $
end of bidding: 2007-03-14 09:26
unearthly of stamina,
unearthly of pace,
unearthly of technique,
unearthly of passing,
excellent of keeping
incredible of defending
unearthly of playmaking
unearthly of striker
