"Hell, MY team would beat yours 5 or 6 times out of 10, and this is just my third season in game."

Shame he won't get to play KY :)

"lol, his team would beat yours 10 times out of 10."

This has what to do with my statement, which was that if he had the personnel to win, he wouldn't be claiming the cup was meaningless?

"Hell, MY team would beat yours 5 or 6 times out of 10, and this is just my third season in game."

I really doubt that.

"You can't manage yourself out of a paper bag. Funny you of all people would claim someone else couldn't manage a team."

I don't know on what basis you say that I can't manage a team. However, it's irrelevant, because I didn't say he was a bad manager (or anyone else was a bad manager, for that manner). I said that saying the cup is meaningless is pretty stupid.

You've been tooting your own horn since your arrival here. Why don't you pipe down and go back to the kids' table?

Take it to sk mail. I don't want to see this.

Hey, I was having a civil discussion with a major league team about the relative importance of cup matches. I have no idea what crawled up islander's ass.

Although, I suppose I should be happy that he's not giving us weekly updates about how he's the best thing since Cheez Whiz or something.

he's the best thing since Cheez Whiz or something.

I thought that was Jarhead (who didn't pop this week!)

If I played my A-team alone, I'd win. If I played my b-team trainees and A-team everywhere else, I'd be dangerous. If I played you asleep, I'd win by 10. :)

Sigh. I was spoiled. Here I thought Jarhead would get from incredible to brilliant passing in only 2 weeks of training. Oh, well. There is always next week.

Did I mention he's only 20? And is now worth $539k in value?

Muhahahaha.

Yeah, if you mixed and matched as necessary, maybe you'd go further in the cup, with the increased gate revenues, etc., without much decreased performance in league. If we play each other in a future cup or league game, we'll see about winning by 10.

With a little effort and thought a team can remain competitive in the Cup without giving up their league play or training. I've managed to perform pretty well in the Cup over the years, while maintaining league form, and training 4 youth pulls onto the National Team.

That's not my point. I could be competitive in the Cup very easily, even without messing up my training program. I choose not to risk injuries to my players to do it.

benmor: How did your cup match go Wednesday night?

I won mine...what about you?

I toot my own horn because I back it up on the field. One league loss. Period. Ever.
Your sad ass already has two THIS season.

Plus it helps keep me interested in the game week to week :)

You toot your own horn then suck backing it up. You've been in this game 9 months longer then me, and I've already nearly caught up in team talent. My team's not the only one like this 'down here' in B league.

If I were you, I'd stay out of 5th/6th place this season, because that way you won't draw me in the promotion/relegation match.

While the rest of Sokker is advancing and improving, you're treading water.

Wait, I thought the cup was meaningless?

Yeah, I had only a couple of losses on my journey to A league, too. Big deal. Look, this "look Mommy I pooped in the potty" stuff is tiresome, get over yourself. I have two losses this season because I play vastly superior competition than you. And as for "catching up to me in talent," oh, hardly.

I've made it this far with my B squad. I've yet to play my A squad. in fact, I haven't even been playing my A team defense either.

At some point you can stop sucking though, feel free. I've never heard someone talk so much yet do so little. What is this, your 4th season in A02 now?

"I've made it this far with my B squad. I've yet to play my A squad. in fact, I haven't even been playing my A team defense either."

But your contention is that the cup is meaningless. So, if the cup is meaningless, how can you use it as proof that my team sucks? And it sounds like you're operating under the assumption that everyone else is playing their A team in the cup.

"At some point you can stop sucking though, feel free. I've never heard someone talk so much yet do so little. What is this, your 4th season in A02 now?"

Yes, I've been in A league since my third season in the game. Like you, I promoted straight from C to B (and, if you don't choke) to A in straight seasons. It's not like what you're doing is unprecedented.

Notice that I scored 5 goals on the best American keeper in the game last week. I wouldn't call that sucking.

Here's an idea: You two play a-teams in the offseason.

In the meantime lets chill. I'm not gonna be around too much today and really don't wanna come back active either tonight or over the weekend to see some non-USA MOD had to go and spank people in my backyard (especially if one of them is a prior mentee of mine).
