Subject: [NT] Discussion
Back to the NT:
We jumped up a spot in World Ranking to 15th place:
13 France 2212.02
14 Scotland 2206.19
15 USA 2170.76
16 Deutschland 2113.31
17 Česká republika 2111.79
18 Danmark 2102.99
Danmark was a very good team, we only won by a PK. It will be another difficult match on Saturday.
Our group could be all decided this weekend.

by take into account how offsides really works i mean that the line of scrimage is actually defined as even with the 2nd to last defender (1st 'defender' in most cases is the goalie). meaning if there isnt any keeper, the offsides line wouldnt be where the last defender was but the 2nd furthest back

how the hell do all these ML teams dont know this (3 substitution rule)
Standard, common sense soccer rules...helllllooooo. Even I knew it, and all I do is watch the WC every four years.

Yea, I would think it falls under common sense as well, lol.
because not every soccer game in the world is limited by 3 substitutions, and because this game never specified it was limited to 3 its a reasonable assumption that it could be 5 - ive just never tried to/been fortunate enough not to have to do that many
ive played all my life/watch it constantly/reffed/coached, i know what the game is about =P
go USA!

Frankly, I rarely bother with any substitutions. My A-team are all excellent stamina or better with one exception. I'm only substituting this week because I want to get a few a-teamers full training in pace. Would you prefer I play them the entire game?
Muhahahahahaha.
(Evil laugh sound inserted, please).

3 subs per game is pretty much the standard in Europe, but there are many professional leagues that allow 5.
okay, so what we're saying is, the global standard is 3 subs, with some random exceptions.
It's 3 in the states, 3 in Europe, 3 in the World Cup.
Yet apparently this is a news flash to people ;)

After a little research, 3 subs is a FIFA rule. Non-FIFA matches (for example, regular national team matches) allow 6 subs or more provided that the coaches agree on the number and inform the referees.

Yes friendlies,
Please start a new thread on FIFA rules and let's focus on the NT on the "[NT] Discussion" thread.
I've had more discussion about FIFA rules than about the NT; Not good at all!
