I stop the talk about FIFA rules and NT Discussion goes on the bottom of the forum.

NT Database

I've noticed other NTs have a database where the users update their players. Vondocha will testify to this (He's been a great NT Assistant Coach) that we've caught some foreign users lying about the skills of their players to either get them in the NT or the starting line-up.

Keepping up with the updates is not bad because I use my Plus "Private Notes" to store the data. But a database that extract the player skills from XML files would be the way to go. I've read about an NT Sokker extension but I'm not sure how that works.

Security will be important, other NT manager could attempt to hack into the database and steal information.

are you asking if anyone has the code and/or can host such a thing?
2007-08-02 22:17:38
Both really,

The main reason is because of the cheaters. Do you think It will at least reduce the number of cheaters?

I don't really know how it all works btw. I'm not a programmer.

sure, it would make lying to you impossible. A lot of countries have it.

I'd suggest you contact some of them to see if they can let you host an american version on their site......
2007-08-02 22:25:34
Their site? What about security?
2007-08-02 22:32:16
you'd have to trust them, nod

Or you could try to find an american user who can get something hosted and just ask them for the code to the site...

Trust them! Never! :)

Pride had a site dedicated to USA Sokker and rejoined the game recently. Is he still around?
2007-08-02 22:53:35
Yeah he is: 13207

He's selling off his team and buying a new one for sunday's game =p
I'd like to see an NT database, too. Like something that utilizes Manda Chuva's extension.

that thing with databases is the way u need to go. most countries have nice databases that together with that mandachuvas extension for firefox make updateing players much easier for managers and there is no way to lie about player skills so great for nt coaches

Pride don't have the site anymore. Using my "Plus" Notes make it relatively easy to update player skills. My only issue was with cheaters but I've found ways around that.

1) The cheaters I've found have all been foreigners.

2) Match the reported skills with player values. With 62 players in the NT plus my own ML starters, this is easy to do.

I just wish there was a way to report suspected cheaters.

3) I more aware of it now than I was last season. BTW: We did fall victim of cheaters last season. I started a player in official games that didn't deserve to start.

3 new 18 yos this season:

Boxer Hartman (Fro's)

Cedrick Barrett (on the market now)

Brian Kiker (on the market now)

Starting 18 yos is the part of the NT coach job that I enjoy the most. I'm still waiting for a "Wow" 17 yo player to break the "youngest USA player in an official game" record held by Manny.

I'm hoping his name is Earl Hejduk
2007-08-03 22:41:18
hey man i got an offer for 16 M euros for Madsen :)...but im not planning to sell him, until 2 seasons more, for 25M euros :)

Just try to sell him before he's 23...LOL
