Not something i look for in a defensive mid.
The striking on yours will be utterly worthless unless you make him a wing or center mid played too offensively. Needs significant passing and pm to do anything.

a defensive mid has no use for striking. If a defensive mid has striking it's convenient for free kicks, but you certainly wouldn't want to train it on someone you KNOW is going to be a back mid.

I don't think striker affects offensive ratings if the offensive activity is just passing, i could be wrong tho.
Anyway, if i'm wrong there it's a nice example on why to ignore ratings.
And it won't give him higher ratings unless you fix his pm and passing while i ignore manny.

im not saying he is gonna get higher ratings if he shoots.....
im saying that defenders with striking usually get better ratings than defenders with no striking........
