"shots closer to the keeper are harder to make"
I do agree but when a high level striker shoots on a worthless keeper, the shot needs to go in. This needs to make sense.

or at least the keeper needs to give up a huge rebound because the ball hits him, instead of his body being under control and making the catch.
The game has changed and I'm not sure it's for the best.
Now you must create more chances to score even if you have top class strikers. Those misses in front of goals don't make sense for high level strikers. This midfield dependence reminds me of a game called Hattrick.

Actually, greg posted a statistic somewhere that the number of goals versus shots barely changed at all, they were just redistributed based on what he saw in reality (1 on 1 versus keeper wasn't actually 80% goals irl)
Is Greg kidding?
one on one with the keeper has got to be about 80% goals. Thats a HUGE ass net he's defending. Angles of course play into this. A shooter one on one from a 30 degree angle won't score 80% of the time. From 60 degrees to out front though? definitely.
Even if a goalie charges the shooter, maybe that changes to 60%. Then again, if a goalie charges the shooter he can't possibly catch the ball. Just deflect it in 'some' direction - including possibly into his own net.
I kinda agree with Lakay here. Kinda.

Greg looked at rl statistics, so no, he's not kidding.
We're not talking only about breakaways where someone has 30 seconds to dribble and shoot, some of the 1-on-1's are get a pass, control, shoot all in a second, etc.

1v1 with a keeper definitely isnt 80%
what he should change is crosses missing the box completely way too often

It feels like we're getting punished for training great players.
My striker has the pace and the tech to earn a free shot, plus has the shooting skills to score and he's being stopped by a C-league Keeper from a bot.

That's possible, that the calculation doesn't take into account relative skill of keeper and striker as well as it should... I could agree with that one actually.

I slightly don't agree with this one......I mean you train players trying to beat the ME, so if GREG sees that everybody is training to build a certain kind of players he probably think of changing things around to make the game more interesting.
We don't like changes usually ( i remember islander crusading the new Tactical Discipline last season, then when he start to win one game after the other he stopped. ^_^ No offense here ^_^) but i think changes are due to make things better: i don't think Greg thought that LAKAY was winning too much so let's change the ME and make him lose the first 3 games of the season (NT game included).
IMO

Begginning of last season, they made some ME changes and I was allowing 4 goals per game in my first 4 games. I made the adjustments and went on a winning streak and eventually won the ML.
This season ME changes again and I've scored 1 goal in 2 games with an average of 3.5 goals allowed in the ML. I will adapt again and probably win the ML again (warning to all contenders).
Yes these changes make the games more challenging and yes I feel like that the ME is being redesigned specifically to make me lose games :)

I don't know if this was a change or not, but I noticed my players passing backwards alot more in my last game.
Can't score on empty target, twice... and often shoot on poles :(
It's possible!
I know there's a certain AdminWhoShallRemainNameless who has pointed his dread anti-button at me, resulting in the murder of the wallace ("doing a guac" according to the mod community), the pinky-debacle (no formation - "doing a moley" according to the mod community), my horrible youth squad, and all my injuries.
So, if this Great Admin could take out such spite on me with such dread consequences, how is it so unbelievable that greg would tailor his ME changes to affect Lakay? After all, i'm so much more loveable!

Don't forget the upcoming debacle when your team bus will be struck by a meteor. It will be horribly impressive.
