This youth came out with a 4 week talent...

Frank Bass, age: 18
value: 82 500 $, wage: 1 200 $
club: Saia`s Strikers, country: USA
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

unsatisfactory stamina, tragic keeper
unsatisfactory pace, tragic defender
adequate technique, average playmaker
good passing, excellent striker

I'm trying to decide what to do with him. I train strikers, but right now my slots are full. I'm training pace starting at the season midpoint, and he definitely needs it. Do you think he's worth more now, as an early season 18 yo, than he would be with 8 weeks of pace training? I'm tempted to keep him, train him in pace after four weeks of waiting around to see if he has any incidental pops, and then evaluate him at the end of the season to see if he fits into my training plans. I generally like much better secondaries than this, but he's got a big head start on most of my trainees in striker. What do you think?

I ALWAYS keep talented YS pulls. I agree with your plan. Get a few decent pops (e.g. defender, tech) and he's worth much more as a 19 year old. He needs too much work now to be a break-the-bank player on the market.

I would think a pace trainer would pay for a guy like this...

Switch to pace now and train him, resume striker training at the end of the season.

Some of your strikers might even randomly pop to the next level if they're close.

Good point Lakay, I have been training Pace for 3 weeks now, and have still seen two defender trainees pop at defense.
