No mention yet of match viewer. I'd like to watch my match!
"Know what? the game went down like 2h before our matches from what i know."
I tried to set my lineup Sunday morning, over 7 hours prior to game time. I checked in all day trying to set my lineup.
I understand that you're a company guy now, but in what realm of common sense does penalizing the teams for Sokker's issues with its ISP make sense? Considering most of us have Plus and are thus financially supporting the game, I think we're entitled to a bit more courtesy than that.

i'm not a company guy, i criticize or question all the time.
The game WAS up on sunday morning.
The game WAS up on sunday morning.
It WASN'T for me. I kept getting "Server is taking too long to respond" errors and couldn't get on. But either way, you can't justify penalizing the players for Sokker's issue with its ISP. Games should have been held for a sufficient time for players to set their lineups after the server issue was resolved.
I don't see how anyone got penalized when you can set lineups weeks in advance. It's your own fault for waiting so long. This was completely out of the devs hands. Deal with it.
Guac I am not sure what your attitude is. You stated that I made things up in a past thread, saying the game was up. It clearly was not up for everyone on sunday morning. I am sorry you are so certain of this. It just is not correct. I kept getting error messages. Try to show a little more compassion for other people please. I never complained in the past, am not a whiner, and don't appreciate your lack of empathy.
Guys, I think the issue is really that this is a dynamic system, and to alleviate problems, you really should have a defualt lineup and put it in place a week in advance. You can tweak it as needed before match, but in the event of somethign like this, at least you have your best 11 ready to play. That is what saved me this week from using a B squad.
brion, you mistake me, i'm really busy today so it's probably my fault and i should have taken more time explaining myself.
Also, i was showing utter lack of compassion to islander, who likes to complain even tho he got 19 shots to his opponent's 0. That started me out in this thread on the wrong foot...
Anyway, i don't think i said you made things up, i just said that the game WAS online when you had said it was down, as could be seen by your selling a player during the time the game was down (the winning bid etc were when you were saying it was down).
During that time it was slow, similar to the last 3 or so weeks.
I obviously (well i guess it wasn't obviously as i had absolutely a short response in this thread, so if you focus here, i guess you have no idea about this:) am sorry that the game was up. Heck, i still haven't seen my own match, and it was a big one for me.
So, again, i'm as disspointed as just abotu anyone (stogies/athos lost possibly in part due to it, so i'm sure he's more disappointed) about the issues. On the other hand, i really don't understand how people don't think there was forewarning about the issues we'd been ahving the last few weeks. Anyone who waited till sunday to set lineup or had a sale end on sunday, were obviiously taking a risk based on the last few weeks and the posted (news and various threads everywhere) issues with the server config.
I'm hoping things are more stable tomorrow!

(that was an apology for my "lack of empathy" - it was missing the words "i'm sorry" in the part where i said i shoudl have taken more time explaining).
Were the "problems of the past few weeks" server issues, or ISP issues?
server configuration with the isp, it's all related to why they moved as far as i know.

Lineups may be set almost right up until gametime. There is no requirement that they be set earlier in the week. If there was and I missed a deadline, I obviously wouldn't have a valid complaint. However, there is no such rule. Perhaps I should have looked into my nifty little crystal ball and anticipated that Sokker would have ISP issues AND penalize its customers by not allowing them the lost time in which they would have otherwise been able to set lineups, but I didn't. I've stated my concerns, so I have "dealt with it".
But I fail to see how it's "my own fault" for Sokker's ISP problems and their resultant passing along of the consequences to their players. Lord knows, I wish I could run my business like that as it would make things quite a bit easier -- except for the whole getting disbarred thing.
That said, if you can't add anything of any intellectual value to the discussion, mind your own business.

What happened to Sokker is like a restaurant losing power. It isn't the restaurant's fault, and the fact that some of the patrons may have gotten their long-standing reservations canceled is an unavoidable outcome.
