Subject: Tactic set question

So I recently created a tactic for my team

but when I got to Match Orders I have no clue how to set it.

Help?

below the field there is a window where you choose your tactic

don't forget to click on save after choosing your tactic.

Tactic cannot be saved:

That's what i get when i hit save

not sure but i think that happens when you either didn't make any change to it or when you didn't name your tactic.

I named it and changed it so idk.

and whenever I try to change it to something like

343

or anything simple

it still gives the same error response

343 is already a tactic name on the default list. try 3-4-3, or seomthing to that effect.

Yep. I changed it to 343, then 442, then 352, no matter what I changed it to, it always gave me the same error report

I'm getting you a mentor (he sk-mailed me).

those all still fall under the category of already exist as default tactics, try banana or something

or "my 3-5-2"

You really have to spend time with the tactical editor to really undestand how it works and gives you what you want. Once you spend a couple hours with it, its really very simple to use... But if you don't have a couple hours, its kind of hard to explain because it does seem tempermental at first.

well I made one I called "test"

it's like a 343 formation but i changed it around for certain situations

I created it and then left

Then when I went back I clicked test, it showed up, i clicked save, and it gave me the error...

so i tried 343, 352, 442, etc...

none of them saved

Even normal didn't save

so i have no clue

a mentor would be helpful

create it, move things around, click save, then youre good. if you click save without changing anything (which is what it sounds like you did) it will give you that error

also, you get the error when trying to save changes to the pre-set tactics because you CANT change the pre-set ones, just "create tactics based upon them" with a name unlike any other existing ones, for example: banana
