Subject: Choosing friendlies?

For those of you who don't participate in friendly leagues, how do you choose who to play when you have several challenges?
I always like to play Cup Rules at my arena because I can draw a bigger crowd with my supporters and seating arrangement. I usually choose to play lower-league teams to help them out financially. In my last friendly, we both walked away with $15,387.
That may not be a lot to most A-League teams and above, but it can really help a start-up manager in USA. That's what I'm about.

I just set up a friendly league with a name that mocks a ML or notable USA player, and fill the league with whatever random-ass jetsam happens to join.
how flattering. 2 seasons ago i was "random-ass jetsam" bait!
I just pick randomly. I like to make it a challenge though. I'm in c-league. 30 but i only challenge them or accept a challenge if it's at my arena. That way it helps me out financialy. and for thoses of you starters, that's good advice. To help you advance in leagues you ned to earn money every week from friendly leagues. It can really help, but recently i joined a friendly league. It's alot more fun because you actually have a reason to win. I don't need money every week now and i'm going into b.league soon. so basiclly, it's a random choice. :)

I schedule friendlies at the bigger stadium, rarely mine. I also try to go with people in higher leagues so that I get more money. This season I went with a friendly league so that i wouldn't have to keep scheduling each week (last season I missed a couple of weeks because I was so busy). However, I think it will be the last time I do so. I can't stand not getting money every week, and the only money I do get is from my stadium. There are a couple people from division 1 in my league, and I play at their stadium, and don't see any of that revenue.
Next season, I plan on traveling the world, scheduling away matches starting with country ID 1, and working my way down to whatever the newest country will be. It will take a couple seasons to accomplish, but it's going to bring me greater satisfaction then sitting in a league doing nothing.

it doesnt matter if you play a friendly or cup game home or away, u split the revenue with the other team:)
I find the post with the biggest stadium and add them untill i joined this friendly league i was getting 10,000$+ every week which isn't bad for a c leaguer
On a related vein...is there such a thing as an international friendly league? I haven't seen one with people from different countries in it anywhere. I'm kind of wondering why...or if I just missed it.
my private league is international with 2 teams from USA and 4 from Italy. As organizer every game away or home are schedule at USA friendly games time
Yea, I always do Cup Rules at my arena as well.
I usually accept the first challenge I receive from someone with a proper team name (IE: Not all lower case, Not something stupid, someone who sounds like they are taking it seriously :D )

Eww its Gary Gerwig :p
When I'm not in a friendly league, I try to play with an A-League team at their stadion. Bigger amounts of cash for me =]

For those who do participate in friendly leagues, or more to the point create them, how do you decide who will and will not be in one? bnemor78 says he lets whoever show up (or at least I think that's what his comment means). What are the limiters?
Yea, I always just selected whoever hadn't arranged a friendly for that week
