just wondering, why would you ever build behind the goals where the profit is less?

maybe there is a logical answer, im just not aware of it :)

because you have to put benches somewhere. Seats on sidelines, benches behind goal.

Because some people will not pay the price for a seat, but will for a bench. You are costing yourself attendance by not doing it.

really? i was under the impression it was the other way around:

all fans will pay for better seats but not all fans will settle with worse seats i.e. benches or stands.

this is kind of irrelevant anyhow.

in my opinion there is no point building behind the goals since revenue is less there, while construction costs are the same.

and even if you are right which i dont think :) you could just build benches one one side and seats on the other, and skip the area behind the goals.

give me a good reason not to?

Building gets more expensive as a stand (whatever type) gets bigger.

I don't see how it would be worth it, if you have fans that are willing to come out you might as well get ticket revenue from them, even if it's very slightly reduced.

it might be worth still building on the sides only despite the higher building costs, just depends on how much higher they are

The benches (not roofed) have the same ticket price for sides and behind goal, I believe that is why people are suggesting that.
