Subject: New USA Teams
As a more substantive answer, I'm not sure that I would change anything about training. As it is, the limitations on what you what you can train (1 thing per week) limits supply. If you dramatically increased the number of things that could be trained in a specified period of time, you not only send supply up and demand down, you end up completely nerfing the skill levels. That can be sustained if the game is in rapid expansion, but it can't be if the game population is relatively stable (see Hattrick).
I guess you could put brand new teams in your B league series, where they could have their brains beat out. That'd be fun.
Where did I say that?
No, I'd be against that just because all the C league starting teams would be appreciably worse, and that isn't fair.
They should have never expanded from 32 C leagues. There wasn't anything resembling a need. This country had around 250 or so teams back then.

I'm fairly happy with the game, the training, and game management.
And I should add that this kind of thing isn't really appropriate in a thread welcoming new teams, if we aim to keep them.
as a closing comment to this conversation...one thing i like about it is the challenge of training this way. There is a different dimension to training weekly for a group than there is for training individually. Now, I would not mind seeing some level of individual training. But, I find this system to be pretty good overall.
woops. didnt mean to wipe that last one ;)
Anyway, it just said per Benmor's last comment, he's right. My intention wasn't actually to veer new players away. Guac's comments just gave me an opportunity to chime in.
All critical posts voluntarily removed. I would LIKE to see people stick around here.
