I've sent welcome notes to the last 20 teams posted in this thread. Only five of them have ever opened them. In fact, the remaining 15 have not logged in since the day they were approved, or the day after. Any ideas on what we can do to improve this?

hmm, surprised 15 of 20 never started their team at all. :/

Last three seem to be a good batch, two of them have logged 3 different days, one logged in two different days.
