Can't some of you college kids get some friends to play????

It is a sad commentary that people find this simple game so hard to play that they simply quit.I understand it might not be your cup of tea,but if you are interested enough to sign up shouldn't you at least try and play it for at least 6 months or so?

Some of them give up too easy or have not somebody to help (or to explain). When I started I got helping hand from my friend (manager of New England Revolution) and right now I try to help for other friend from my work (SS New York).

I would think that managers would quit because tactics is such a big part of the game it is so hard to grasp on to at first they do not feel like taking the time to learn how to do tactics

or some managers quit because they do understand tactics, but the results still don't come.

this game takes players more then tactics. Tactics in this game are somewhat over-exaggerated.

although still considerably more intensive then any other soccer sim I've played, admittedly.

Well...I send welcome notes to every team that guacamole lists here. a while back, of 20 new teams, only 5 every opened the note, and 15 never logged in after their first time. I can say the numbers have improved. of the last 23 welcome messages sent, 11 have been opened. I started adding a link to bemore78 to get mentoring help. benmor78 reports getting an increase of traffic for mentoring requests. i think we may be gaining it...ever so slowly...:)

that tactics youtube link that guac provided in another thread could stand to be stickied.

I personally don't like soccer but then again I have never played or watched a real match. I'm from the dirty south, all we know is American Football. I doubt any of my friends have seen a soccer match or played.

I'm also from a redneck area (Walker County in Alabama) so I'm one of the rare techy guys. Nobody else I know plays any type of strategy game or RPG for that matter. If you can't hit the A button to stab, shoot, or tackle something, they don't care.
