Subject: New USA Teams

2008-07-29 15:20:45
True - one manager from my group was cheating. He had two more teams in another country :P

I used to run 2 teams in Hattrick. I had no intentions on ever having them trade to make one super team...I was just bored and wanted an extra team to run. Then a friend (who was also running 2 teams) talked me into buying a crappy player from him for about 200k. Next thing I know, all 4 teams were locked :(

After a mass campaign, I was able to convince the admins to unlock my main team. I only had to pay a 500k fine. :)

I've never cheated on any online game. Never was tempted, either. That is why my team is so mediocre. Oh, also because I'm a dope.

you don't cheat because i'd nuke you gleefully while you watched, dude.

How i read this: After billy cheats he'll whine to us forever.

ok, crusty portion withdrawn :)
2008-07-29 17:29:47
haha well my argument was that my teams had not benefitted from the bad error in ethical judgement. Also I believe it was before they would allow NT players to be transfer listed if a team was locked. I was the owner of phenom Neil Garza and I argued that he would be lost forever :)

I have never cheated in Sokker, but don't worry...I will do plenty of whining anyways.

so is it if youve ever been on the same IP you cant transfer with your friend, or just in the recent history of IPs? example: i tell my buddy in a different state to play this game. i go and visit him and sign on my acct there. i come back and a few weeks later hes bidding on a player of mine, would that be ok?
2008-07-29 18:46:40
and is it same exact ip or can you be neighbors with same provider and similar ips
2008-07-29 18:48:07
I think it is IP - I sometimes sign on to my brother's computer, and vice versa, when we visit. He will NEVER do a transaction with me for that reason.
2008-07-29 18:48:55
and how long of an ip history is kept, can i go to a library make a transfer and sign on and off 10 times to hide it
2008-07-29 20:46:03
guys i'm not going to get into the specifics of how we look for cheaters.

It's the same IP. So if you share a workplace or home or whatever with a friend/coworker/relative (or even some portuguese adoptee who happens to have grown up with you), don't make transfer with that friend/coworker/relative (or even some portuguese adoptee who happens to have grown up with you).

Yes, there's a time limit we don't look - it's time based not number of logins.

There's 50k+ users, not being able to trade with 10 of them leaves you with 99.98% remaining i believe.

whatever brah

Man I love Portuguese food, there is none in my town anywhere.......I've never understood why anyone would cheat in an online game....I mean cheating for real monetary gain is pathetic, cheating in a meaningless online game makes me question if the cheater is even a vertebrate.

ask jon about pourtugues food and why he didn't stick with it instead of bothering me all these years.

HE IS SWARTHY!
