Subject: New USA Teams
and yes, they ended up in b-league. will be an announcement on that later today.
So they determined getting creamed by a humans is more fun than creaming bots.
there's statistics on it.
personally i don't agree but if it's not working i'm sure it will be changed quickly. we'll track.

nice to hear your opinion on the matter...
i would think it would make more sense to have a league shake up every couple seasons where bot teams are erased and deserving human teams are elevated(by points and GD like now)... not every season(too much work) but maybe once a calender year... oh well... we'll see how much fun losing 8+ to 0 is for noobs...

The noobs asked for it.
I think 3 seasons in C-league is helpfull to create market ready players and prepare a strong team for B-League, without loosing too many supporters.

You know what I first thought of when I saw the announcement:
how unfair this is to everyone else who started in a C league. Especially those who got stuck in one for more then a season.
If Greg wants to know why the retention rate is poor, look at the website. Thousands of dollars spent on some redesign, which is total crap that everyone thinks is even worse then the old, 1990's site design quality.
Maybe eliminating lineup bugs which we've all but explicated documented - narrowed down to at least the general cause of them.
What they should have done was condensed C leagues next season. It was never broken with 32 C leagues. Ever.

I'm very glad the devs acknowledged that on of the reasons for poor retention of newbies is that the lowest leagues are underpopulated with human players and spending a couple of seasons winning game after game against bots quickly looses its appeal. What you need is more interaction with other human players AT YOUR LEVEL.
However, they went about solving the problem the wrong way. I doubt these newbies in B-leagues will be particularly happy when they start losing. Also, sending some newbies directly into higher leagues is unfair to all others that started at the lowest level.
You want a better solution, browse through the discussion on C-leagues we had about a month ago. There were some decent proposals, e.g. condensing the C-leagues to 32.
A bad, bad move...

and for those that think its fair, being only recently moved up to b league i know that the money you get from sponsors in c-league is absolutely miniscule and hard to work with even compared to the b league you its take a while to make a team good enough to stay up once promoted. like i said, annual shake up in which all bot teams positions in upper levels are removed and there are extended promotion matches... think about how much exciting is would be for the younger teams...
anyway, not the time or the place for this conversation... but good to see SOME kinda change to increase retention.

why don't we get rid of the old terrible bot teams first? instead of the good ones? it going to KILL my income to downgrade 4 teams in my league.
