Subject: unearthly coach

I thought there already was a thread about this, but I couldn't find it.

How common are unearthly coaches? How many people have them? I have been trying to get one for a long time. They occasionally show up on the TL, and I think the last one I watched went for about $1 million. That would lend to the view that they are very hard to get.

I've tried to pull them, and have spent close to a million ($36K a pull), but still no luck. Grrrrrr.

I'd STRONGLY dissuade you for trying for an unearthly coach, you certainly don't need that, as the differential value of that over brilliant or magical is not all that much.

And if it's for head coach, why worry about keeper?

It would just be for my Juniors. That little bit of bump to unearthly coach might be the difference between an incredible and a magical pull. Or am I putting too much into the difference?

The difference between an incredible pull and a magical pull may not be all that much. At best, an unearthly coach may buy you an 'extra' week or two for your youth squad, so I wouldn't suggest it, either.

Just try to find a magical coach with a decent wage if you want a boost to your juniors. It will save you a lot of money in the long run, especially because Unearthly coaches have salaries in the $50ks.

I've had a magical coach for a long time, but just wanted to "go all out", and see what the unearthly could do.

Are you guys speaking from actual experience, or just what others have said?

Neither of us is greg, and neither of us have had an unearthly coach, but i'm telling you dude, unearthly is not NEARLY worth as much as you've spent, let alone more.

If i could be given an unearthly coach for free, i wouldn't take the wage onto my club, given what i believe is a relatively slight increase in training rate for a huge wage. And that's conventional wisdom, not just my opinion.

Of course, if i had the income of polish top level teams, that would be a different consideration, but i don't, and you have even less.

Are you the team that's really solely focused on your youth squad? If you don't care about the rest of your team that may change things a bit, but still, it's a minor advantage unearthly over magical, i promise you.

Yeah I'm the youth factory. I'm sitting on 4 million so I don't care too much about wages.

I agree I've spent too much already, and it's pissing me off. :)

I pulled an unearthly on my second try. His wage is unbelievable, but some weeks I can still make a profit :)

I'd definitely have only gone with magical though, if I wasn't so amazed that I got this guy. My magical's wage is $34,975, as compared to the Unearthly's $52,900.

my magical is 36k, but he's more of a head coach than an assistant or youth (5 unearthlys 2 brils, and low keeper)

I've bid up to 1 million for an unearthly coach and got outbid.

I would gladly pay 800K or lower for one.

I'm sure I've paid that much already. The only good thing to come out of all those pulls are my current coaches. Two magicals with 37K and 38K wages.

I bought unearthly coach year ago, price was $384551 and wage is $53600. Before him I had incredible youth coach.
One dude popped after 3,4,3 and 4 weeks with incredible and after 3,3 and 4 weeks with unearthly and another guy needed 4,4 and 4 with incredible and 4,4 and 3 weeks with unearthly youth coach. So the difference isn't big, and it's of course smaller when comparing magical to unearthly.
Is it smart to pay $15k more per week to have 1 level better youth coach if the difference really is so small? Probably not, but I'm still having that unearthly one, just in case.. :p

Sounds like you got him relatively cheap compared to today's market.

thanks for the results. looks like one went 3.5 -> 3.33, and the other went from 4 to 3.66 or so...

So for a talented player, figure on about a 7% increase mebbe?

if someone gains about 25% of a level in a week (4 talent), that'd make him about 27%.

Over 30 weeks, that 4 week talent would change to 8.1 pops from 7.5 pops, if my math is correct. For a 2-level bump, it's at MOST half of that from magical to unearthly.
