Guys, I have been playing SK for about 18 months, and HT for about 2 years. I happen to be one of the few that likes both games pretty evenly. That said though, the one think that makes SK much better is the way all the USA teams that participate and are willing to help each other (even in the same league) when it comes to mentoring, transfer advice, etc.
Other than the battle a couple of owners had last season (remember the endless postings in the forum between the nameless two?), I am impressed by the way we all seem to get along.
Let's keep recruiting and beat the dreaded Poles some day soon.

Woo woo woo.
That being said, i am always in need of new mentors.

Sorry I am not an A league team, just a lowly B league contender.. though I am helping out one of the new teams.
I'm like one mood swing away from killing my 4 (I think) year old HT career. The economics are SOOOOO bad there.
omg. Lol.
There is a very viable economy here with trading etc.
There, players go down in value drastically as they hit what's about incredible here. DOWN in value. It's horrid there.

I am buying players, training them until they are studs, and then selling them for less than their purchase price.
wow, thats amazingly idiotic.
Whats the point of that game then?
In a sense it sounds like sokker, except in sokker if a player is older (say 23-25) and a stud in Sokker he'll still get great money/profit.
Sounds over there like thats not the case.

It didn't used to be that way, about 1-1.5 years ago, the market gradually changed as more and more players became available at higher levels and the obscenely sharp wage curve at a certain point became a huge disadvantage
wages from supernatural-titanic-extraterrestial-magical there go like 15k-30k-70k-110k
And no team can afford too many ET players. But you NEED them to win
So it becomes a balancing act of salary versus skills.
I'm actually dumping a few players right now because i'm spending too much on them, gonna buy MORE EXPENSIVE players who are WORSE, to deal with it.
I guess you could kinda consider it a salary cap ;)

I like how they came out with a new youth expansion that automatically gives you a team that is practically better then most peoples current teams to try to ressurect peoples interest in hattrick.
are the youth players coming out of that gonna be any good? No one has been pulled yet...
lol, i havent looked at my VI league team in ages. It's probably sucking LOL.
It was like that for the longest time in Hattrick, too ... until the wages for these "studs" got too high compared to most teams' revenues (wages rise dramatically with the skill in Hattrick). Now very few people can afford highly skilled players ... the market value goes down! (I don't know, how the wages develop here in Sokker, I don't have any "studs" in Sokker.)

at this point, wages aren't an issue for even the top polish teams. Actually, wages probably need to increase at some point to get cash out of the economy...
