Subject: Training question

Any idea, how much more effective say 3 formidable coaches are compared to 3 very good ones? Wages for 3 FO coaches are about double of what you pay for 3 VG ...

I have been using 2 VGs and 1 formidible and would say the results have been what I expect them to be based on talent. While I am sure there is an impact, I cannot imagine it would impact it too more than a week or two over the life of a player's training life.

If you're lucky, you get 3 VG coaches for a total wage of 15,000 weekly. Double that for 3 formidable coaches. That's an extra $15,000 every week. I'd say that you would need one extra random pop for someone in your team per week to justify this investment.

@Islander: You said that you upgraded your assistants recently, didn't you? Did your head coach stay the same? Do you see an increase in random pops?

@pewsum, I am not sure you can quantify it. In reality, unless you can afford to have outstanding coaches, I am not sure the moving up one level is enough to justify the cost.

pewsum: I am in process of upgrading my assistants. I was at 3 VGs. I'm now in the process of improving those to outstanding. Like fla21667 said, I felt it was better to just suck it up and go up big time. After this it'll be a looong time before I improve these. I've got one outstanding now, but have had him for only a couple weeks.

I'm definitely not an authority on the subject. I've also got a youth coach to improve in the very new future. When I do, I'll have a second outstanding assistant ;)

I'm waiting to see if I promote at this point. If I do, then a brilliant YC is in the immediate works.

So...let me make sure i have this right...having 3 vg or whatever coaches that have really high skills in different areas doesn't hurt you if you keep switching back and forth to have that skill trained?

correct, there's nothing negative about swapping coaches.

They'll be more expensive than a VG without the unearthly, btw.... And as soon as possible you should get a single head coach with multiple unearthly's in the stuff you train - improves general training drastically.
