The missing ingredient in my team is a capable striker, what should I look at when buying a great striker? If a thread was already posted let me know....
striking, pace, tech are the essentials.
defending, playmaking, and passing are optional.
personally i put more weight into pace and tech, then striking. i figure that the strikers need to get into position to shoot first. then i worry bout striking.
my strikers dont have more than excellent finishing, but really good tech and pace.

I would be careful with playmaking, it seems to be the trait that will make a striker on a breakaway turn around and back pass.
i've discovered that as well. Strikers are no longer 3-4 stat players. More like 5 now, not including stamina.
PM also affects the ability of a striker to deke past the keeper, I'm told.

Yup that is what my striker does with PM, he kicks off the pole and gets it back and scores to avoid confrontation of the GK
One of my strikers has significant PM. If I play him with a MID order (which I do from time to time for training purposes) he makes some poor pass-shoot decisions. But with the ATT order he's usually pretty good.
Pace-tech-strike is the ideal, but can be expensive. I think the strengths of a team need to be considered when choosing a striker.
Eg., if you have a strong passing team and primarily attack with crosses from the wing, you might go with a little more pace & strike, and a little less tech. If you have a counter-attacking team that focusses on through balls for offence, you might sacrifice a little striking for some additional pace & tech.

seca is right, which of the three main skills is best for you does depend on the offense you run. my offense is pretty unique from the rest, so when i drop ~$5M on a new forward during this new season ill definitely have that in mind
Thanks guys....I am going to generate a Million Dollar for project striker..will taht be enough for Division B????
I would like to hope so. Although buying earlier in the season might not be wise if you can avoid it.
You'll be paying the early season premium if you do.

I wish I could have but I got to sell few players first. I want to wait with them to enjoy the beginning of the season premiums....I hope that they will offset the purchase premium....
I think that will be fine, but what level are you looking for? formidible? Are you looking for training age or older?
I will probably look for someone with these attributes:
Age up to 21 (so he can still pop-I train pace)
Striker - Excellent or higher
Pace - V.G or higher
Tech -V.G or up
P.M Good and higher
Any help?
