You can have a 3-5-2 with a withdrawn attacker, giving you 3 attackers. It ends up being basically a x-x-1-2.

Further, very few players are going to have equal levels of tech and pace. It's reasonable to have one that's more technical, and one that's quicker.

in my opinion, if you want to play three attackers, play a 3-4, don't pussyfoot around with weird hybrids.

Besides, from what limited data I can discern from the talent base of the team, it seems like a conventional, offensive 3-5-2 (or 3-2-3-2, if you prefer) would be best. We 'seem' to have excellent offensive wingers - at least from the two or three matches I watched.

but ur opinion on attackers differentiates from mine. i think the x-x-1-2 would work well.

i also would do this because of my plans for a more central, yet elongated, style of play. it allows my 2 forwards to stay a little further up

I think Lakay and Vondocha could tell us best, as they have the actual skill sets of the players.

and by offensive wingers, I should clarify that. I mean possession/passing skilled wingers.

I call them offensive, because I'd use them aggressively on attack. So I should've said good attacking wingers...although I guess again that term is open to interpretation.

but going back to the wingers

they do play a pretty good offense, but it them being that far up also exploits a weakness in our defense

if u watch carefully, you'll see many times where the opposing team gets a chance (or poor cross) due to their wide open wingers

on the other end our wingers typically have an opponent within a sector, but they seem to have a decent enough pace to stay away. a team with wingers faster than ours would definitely hurt us on the wings there

Yes I am well aware of it, but that is not what Jose Morhino wanna be said. Ok I have had more than enough of this, we have all wasted too much time on someone who has an ego bigger than his knowledge base.

I think that playing with wingbacks is good. I think playing with three attackers is good. I think some interesting things can be done with wingbacks and 2 IM's, 1 winger, combinations.

Dude, a 3-5-2 does NOT have 3 attackers. It is 2 attackers and 5 MFs. If you knew anything about football it would have been a 3-4-1-2 but apparently since HT does not offer that, you are unaware of it.

and yes wingbacks can be very useful. i feel our usa team leaves the wings a bit open to be taken advantage of, though i don't put down his idea of risking it for a more aggressive wing. maybe he leaves those guys up and then gives a little more spread to the defense

then with an IM he drops it back into a very defensive mode to makeup for some lack of central defense due to pushing the wingbacks out.

I have been playing this game longer than you, so you do not know more. I have been playing HT a shorter time than you, and I am one match away from being two full levels above you. That is pure failure.
