Subject: USA Future Stars Season 10

2007-10-19 15:58:26
Le Breton is now totally naked to all who were curious about his skills.
2007-10-19 16:26:02
Interesting. I'd never buy him - too low in striking. I may have to rethink.
2007-10-19 16:30:27
His formidable striking was good enough to get him 48 goals this season :)

But yeah I think he needs at least one more level of striking in order to go for the big bucks.

EDIT: I've been telling everybody for years that I don't have any big time strikers :)

Another level of striker won't do you any good.

curious on how he will sell
2007-10-19 17:17:05
I just don't see the "another level of striker won't do you any good." I value striker much more than tech. I don't think I'm wrong. If you have a good passing team, then you need strikers that get open and shoot. You don't need them dribbling through traffic.

Yeah my team needs the power forwards to take matters into their own hands. I'll get his striker up soon, and keep training him till I get a good enough offer. I think plenty of teams would like to have Le Breton :)

I really meant that from formidable to outstanding is not a big enough jump and he's already 24 yo.
2007-10-19 18:09:46
I would like to sell him at

Brilliant Pace
Magical Tech
Incredible Striker.

But that would take a bit of time...
2007-10-19 18:10:38
that would be the best you can do ;) you would get loads for him
2007-10-19 19:29:03
those pops would probably take you most of this season.

Still, I don't think people are going to be horribly concerned with his age being late 24 with those skills :)
2007-10-19 19:50:57
I agree islander1. He will be sold as a completely finished product. Not as a trainee. So his age being 24/25 should not matter much.
2007-10-22 19:15:24
if you can reach incr stri that'd be a VERY VERY nice sale.
2007-10-22 19:17:09
i would probably buy him ;)

I really havent seen, for strikers anyway, a huge drop off in price from age 23 to 25 if they have the skills, they get the money.

Actually defenders in my limited research is the same thing. last season I actually upgraded my center defender and got 2 years younger in the transaction...and it cost me like 250k extra after selling the older one.

Midfielders seem to be the one group that can have the biggest variance in price based on age.

From what i've seen anyway. I've been trying to get a better grasp on the market in this game.

Problem is the market fluctuates wildly from my experience.I still am flabbergasted by some of the sale prices I see, both positively and negatively.

Marginal studs (e.g. good looking trainees and cheaper starters) tend to be higher between now and the start of the season, and then peak a second time in week 2-3. At least that is how it seems to me.
