One of my favorite books is entitled:

How to Lie Using Statistics

p.s. my BS and MA are in Mathematics, with a specialty in Probability and Statistics

It's no lie. Either my team or Pewsum's would beat ANY of your teams.

Interesting, B10 has 3 strikers better than any of Vondochas. And you couldnt handle them.

Couldn't beat my team.

ONE defender couldn't handle ONE of his strikers.

The weak link in my defense. In fact, that weak link is on transfer now...he's been replaced.

I'm not saying you wouldn't win, i'm just saying it would be interesting if you got matched up against 1 of these 3 strikers.

55.0 Josh Abshire Lumen
54.0 Timothy Gros Whateam
49.0 Lucas Carmichael Lokomotiv United

It would all depend on their respective skill sets. I'm sure all would be difficult challenges though :)

Another thing working in Vondo's favor is the fact that I had to account for his amazing wing mid. If it weren't for him, he'd have lost, because I would have never been forced to expose my weak defender against his striker. He'd have lined up against a formidable defender instead, and wouldn't have gotten the opportunities he did.

See, my initial analaysis post qualifier was that he walked through my formidable defender...but a few days later I realized that 'duh' this wasn't the case. I had moved my formidable defender from his 'normal' side to the opposite to harass Niedz. So it made me feel 'slightly' better about the loss, only slightly.

But you know what, Vondo's got a talented team, and it paid off for him. I neutralized one weapon, but a second one picked up the slack, hardcore, late in the match. As a result he deserved to win. He had more talent and it paid off. There's more to a striker then just striking as many are aware.

My defense could not hold any of them for the record.

Lucas 7 goals 1 game
Josh 5 goals 3 games
Timothy 4 goals 4 games

a goal a game isn't that bad if you are talking about guys that good.

I want to know what rock Lokomotiv is sleeping under, see his firs two results? *snicker*

Josh got 6 against him in the first game.

Current national team striker Freddy Lara is origanally from B10.

I was so happy to get out of that series.

LOL. No doubt B10 is a diffcult series. You guys aren't ranked #2 by accident.

You guys were probably #2 last season too.

I know my first season in B2, we were second in the B leagues to B3.

Not surprisingly, the third rated league is...you guessed it, B3.

I dunno about that, it is a striker friendly series and ratings favor strikers.
2007-07-17 20:24:20
I dunno, here they seem pretty equal. If anything, ratings favor players who dont play full matches.

Or are you thinking of Footstar :)
2007-07-17 20:46:31
nope, just comparing my top striker to my top defender.
