This guy was in my school for 20 weeks, entered level 5 and come out level 11. Best guess is he's got 3.33 talent.

How do they stack?

Well Simon is decent

he's a tiny bit behind what I would say is minimum for a U21 NT player but because he is a defender he doesn't always require as much (in my opinion) so he could probably get away with it if he had good talent

in which case I'll train him :)

With talent and trained a season in pace/defender he'll be fine. May not get a chance to play as a 20yo, but probably while 21..

Most important skills for defenders imo are Defense/Pace/tech/PM

The minimums on the u21 page are

Primary: Defender (11) / Pace (11)
Secondary:Technique (6)

Not sure how current those are, he could meet those in a little more than a season, season and a half maybe, if he's talented. That doesn't guarantee a spot of course but he could be well on his way depending on what other talent is out there.

Thats just to get entered in the database, there are 2x outstanding defenders that are back ups atm.

Yeah I thought there must be, it's not that hard to reach before 21, that player could be around there by 21 if he's 4 or less talent, I think..

But it would take some dedication and I doubt he will play for the senior nats.
