Subject: »[Junior]USA Youth Roll Call

2025-09-21 17:51:14
In the strongest US league, I've observed teams like Baltimore Arsenal FC and Arm Team failing to develop young American players. I know it's difficult to develop young players while building a competitive team in a major league, but we must take responsibility for our future.

Note: I'll be doing a comprehensive study of other leagues soon.

Baltimore Arsenal FC, Armteam

1. PARADISE UTD
2. Pittsburgh FC
3. Las vegas city
4. Dinamo T
5. Atlantic FC
6. FC Harambe
7. Cytadela Varsovia (L)
8. Island Spirit Tigers
9. Baltimore Arsenal FC
10. @DaMuffinMan…….
11. Armteam
12. Balls of Steel

The youth infrastructure of teams numbered 3, 4, 8 and 9 is closed.

2. Hot Club Lions
3. La Cucaracha
4. Henley Hawks
5. Gastrolith Concretions
6. Blue balls

I had a youth academy for close to five seasons. This is how much I made off of it: 24 000 $.
One player, Dakota Hodge, who could have sold for 100k or so at the time, only because he was 16. He's still the least talented trainee on my team.

Meanwhile, I have watched every other team start schools around my time, or later than me, and crank out talented players season after season. Even goddamn B teams.
So no, hell will freeze before I open my academy again. This game wants to screw me on this, so I'm not continuing to play the lottery that's stacked against me.

That said, I do have one opening to buy a talented American midfielder in the 19-21 range, provided it doesn't cost 5 million or something.

"we must take responsibility our future" ...

You're not part of this region or country.. stop passing judgment!
We are giving you the privilege of coaching our team.. is that not enough??!?

What a silly statement!

and for the record.. my youth school.. most of them.. are a total waste of money!
I just lost interest in playing.. so i figured, why not waste the money.. and so far...
only one star, and i had to make him up! lol

HA...!

If you can't breed them.. Make them up!
I am considering coming back to the ML next season...
After all... every major league needs a hearty troll! ;)
Cheers!

I've had my infrastructure ready for about 10 seasons, but even with a top-notch coach (and a lot of money spent), I haven't been able to develop any players for the National Team.

You're luckier than me.

they need to fix that system ...!

I've sold two players for a total of 5420!
and no real potential in the two players i have on my team..
I just keep them because they are US players..
They'll probably end up just coaching high school ballers.

I invested approximately 12 million in four American players. All of them developed with the U21 team.

I'm currently working on developing the U21 team's best forward. I've achieved a 12x3 success rate.

Of course, teams that don't want to open a youth academy can sign and develop young American players. After all, not every club has a large budget.

My youth academy is worse than yours. You've found a player. But I won't give up. I'll continue investing in the youth academy. One day, a star player will surely emerge.

to be fair to musta, if I was a u21 coach I would be doing something similar.

I'd just private message the team owners instead of calling them out publicly.

Only reason I'm luckier is because I was smart enough to accept that youth school profits are never happening for me, so I cut my losses.

It appears you still haven't come around on this, yet. Your national teams are strong - you really don't NEED to keep urinating your money away for a rigged system.
2025-09-21 22:10:57
it's not a rigged system, it's a system based on luck

You're lucky = you get rich

You're unlucky = you lose some cash every season

The longer you have a youth school the higher is your chance for getting lucky

And first 4 weeks of season EVERYONE should have 6 open spots in YS, with main/assistant move on Friday to YS to asses the level of new youths

You pay for 6 spots, which is close to nothing and you can get a 16yo with 2-4 weeks to leave YS etc. and get BIG money while investing peanuts

Having a closed youth school in first weeks of season doesn't make any sense

I think this approach would be more appropriate. You're right.

I'm also in private communication with users regarding player development and have a number of requests.

As I agree with him on training US players.. and commend him on his effort there.. & I think he is great for the game overall.

any pressure towards any players to create a youth school for a better national team is silly and ridiculous to me..
we can't even field two US coaches interested in coaching such teams..

I would much rather rally players to field better teams and create some competitions in our local leagues..
that for me at least is what makes the game fun.. not the NT madness. they are a waste imo with so few overall players.. much more meaningful back in the day when we had many many more players!!

And Mustafaatik.. the player I 'found' ... I made up.. an illusion. But I still have the silly school! lol

If an American coach is considering running for election, I'll wait one more day for that.

I agree with you. I said in the previous elections that I would be a candidate if no American user was running.
