I’m disappointed with tragic technique. Is it worth training him as anything but a defender?

In fact, he is badly balanced. I think with speed and passing training in a few seasons he can be a good winger.

What do you suggest I train? I feel like only training pace, passing, and striking makes a very flawed and limited player with tech being so poor. Also I feel like attacking players that aren't well rounded have no value on the transfer market or on good squads. It feels odd training him as a defender since he has high skills elsewhere, but at least the distribution is ok enough for that.

I would start with pace training and wait for growth in other skills. Besides technique he has all the other skills of a striker.
