2007-08-02 22:15:27
i have 4 starters one card away from their red. ugh.
2007-08-03 05:05:42
hey...how close together/recent do the yellows have to be for it to cause a red?
2007-08-03 06:52:06

yellow cards carry on infinitely!

so even if a player gets 1 yellow card only in season one, 1 yellow card in season two and 1 yellow card in season three, when he gets the third, it will be converted into a red card, and he will miss out the next competitive (cup or league) match
2007-08-03 10:13:20
o o...that is not good...i reveal further ignorance of soccer by asking does the yellow count go back to zero then?

Yes coach mark, and in RL soccer, they reset at the end of seasons.
2007-08-03 13:17:40
yeah, no idea why they dont' reset in sokker. Greg should really fix that.

This game has a better soccer experience that all other sim games but this yellor card issue is a flaw.

Even Hattrick got this one right. Also in real life supporters mood is somewhat boosted at the beginning of a season and the supporters are more loyal after you've won a championship.

I won the ML in season 8 and finished in 5th place in season 9 and it's been a mass exodus of supporters.

Lakay, additionally when a team is promoted supporters usually jump on the bandwagon, but not in SK. The week after promotion I got like 9 new supporters (HT is even worse, I promoted two successive seasons, in RL that would be amazing. In my off week I LOST a supporter! Maybe he likes the underdog?)

I understand in a 14 week period the impact of yellows is minimized, but I have one player one my squad with 2 yellows, one dating back to October. That is just too long.

I could see maybe a yellow staying on books for 2 seasons, but beyond that is a bit daft.

hey Guac, get on this please :). Easy fix for Greg to code.

yellow cards carrying over past the present season = unrealistic and wrong.

If cards reset at the end of the season, they would have to increase the number of cards given per match to equalize the number of games missed per season, which is apparently something they want to keep constant.

Card happy refs :)

Currently fouls are mainly dependent on speed/tech of the striker VS speed/def of the defender. A foul/card happy ref would benefit teams with high techique.

Technique is already an important part of the game at higher levels (not that much for the lower leagues); this could put added emphasis on that one skill.

Be carefull what you ask for :)

Nice depth thinking going on there!! =]
