They go back on the market, with their deadlines extended 24 hours.

True, it will. But that's an acceptable loss.

Plenty of people think that it *is* an acceptable loss. And people that made purchases (and the sellers who then possibly made purchases with the resulting funds) are not going to be happy with your solution. Essentially, no solution is going to make everyone happy.

agreed. i lost one player in the ghost match for 18 days, and one player in the real match for 20 days... what is this trophymanager? :p

You either accept the matches as first run, or you wipe them out of the database COMPLETELY. Not half-assed.

That may be the best answer i've seen so far.

The problem with that is that a substantial number of the "ghost-matches" registered as "0-0" walkovers. For instance, if you'll note earlier in the thread, Mark says that all of the games in his son series were like that. That's a glitch, obviously. So if we accept the results of the first run, a substantial number of the matches are 0-0, with no match being played. That's an even worse situation.

And I don't accept your contention that your two proposals are the only reasonable solutions.

then it sounds to me that you can't accept the first round of matches. Fine. Purge them all. COMPLETELY.
